Lindsay Lohan Has Song Written for Her, From Father Michael Lohan

Lindsay Lohan just had a new song written for her - by her estranged father, no less. Michael Lohan hired R&B singer Delious Kennedy, a member of Grammy-winning group All-4-One, to write and perform a tune specifically dedicated to his troubled daughter, who's currently in rehab.

Now, if that’s not a special gift that will keep on giving!

Michael said that the song is a companion piece to Lindsay Lohan’s “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” from 2005 and that it’s about a “talented and beautiful young lady who has grown in our hearts...She is badgered by paparazzi, cut down by the media…She will wilt, but when she falls, I will always be there to pick her up and put her petals back on.”

Michael Lohan has song written about Lindsay LohanGiven Michael’s sappy floral analogy, it’s no surprise the song has been christened “My Rose.” But, don’t expect a sentimental, syrupy-sounding ballad. Rather, it’s a club track with a dance vibe in the style of Usher or Lady Gaga, according to Kennedy, who recorded the song last week and played it for Michael Lohan last night.

The verdict? Success! Apparently, Michael loved it.

And, why wouldn’t he with a catchy chorus like this: “The girl is like a rose garden. She falls back, springs forth and grows stronger with thorns.”

LiLo, a.k.a. the “rose”! Hopefully, Lindsay Lohan takes fondly to her father’s newest unusual show of affection.

What to expect from Avril's new album

Avril Lavigne is to release a 'deeper, emotional' new album.

The Canadian singer - whose divorce from Deryck Whibley was finalised last month - insists her forthcoming single, 'What the Hell' is not representative of the rest of the material on her next record, 'Goodbye Lullaby'.

She said: 'The song is more reminiscent of some of my old pop rock. The rest of the album is more stripped down, deeper. All the songs are very emotional.

'The other albums I've done, the songs are all over the place. This is the most consistent album all the way through.'

'Goodbye Lullabye' - which will be released on March 8 - is Avril's first album since 2007's 'The Best Damn Thing' and she admits she is 'anxious' to get back into the public eye.

She added in an interview with website PopEater: 'Four years ago I put out my last album and it feels like forever. But two of those years I spent travelling around the world touring and promoting it.

'I'm anxious to get out there again. There will be a world tour promoting the new album and single in the new year.'

Rihanna "grateful" for 'Umbrella' song

Rihanna has revealed that she is "grateful" to have recorded her hit record 'Umbrella'.

The singer, whose song topped the UK chart for ten weeks, admitted that the song helped boost her music career, as well as landing her a huge endorsement deal.

"I did have a deal with an umbrella company and they had a range of very good umbrellas,"she told Q magazine.

"This is kind of weird because I grew up in Barbados and there’s not a great culture of umbrellas like there is in the UK and Europe. I guess we have the occasional storm or maybe the Caribbean is more known for its hurricanes and an umbrella isn’t going to get you very far in a situation like that.

"But, yes, I have a few umbrellas. Maybe ten? I dunno, but I am very grateful to the umbrella for what it has done for my career."

Rihanna recently celebrated impressive sales of her latest record Loud, which shifted over 300,000 copies in seven days in the UK alone.
