Ke$ha to Crash Hot 100 at No. 1 with 'We R Who We R'

Ke$ha's "We R Who We R" is set to become just the 17th song to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 when the chart is officially released tomorrow (Nov. 4).

The track is the preview single from Ke$ha's forthcoming "Cannibal" album, set to be released on its own on Nov. 22 in addition to being packaged with her debut album, "Animal," in a deluxe edition titled "Animal Cannibal."

"We R Who We R" shifts 280,000 downloads in its initial week at retail to easily rank at No. 1 on Digital Songs, knocking Far*East Movement's "Like a G6" (178,000, down 13%) to No. 2 on both that chart and the Hot 100. "Like a G6" topped the latter list for the past two weeks and had led Digital Songs for three non-consecutive frames.

Ke$ha's track is also making an swift impact at radio, debuting at No. 49 on Radio Songs (up 81%) and jumping 36-23 on Pop Songs (up 124%).

"We R Who We R" is the second title this year to start its chart life at No. 1, following Eminem's "Not Afraid" in May. Prior to Eminem's debut, Britney Spears had been the last artist to enter at No. 1, with "3" in October 2009.

Ke$ha is no stranger to the top of the Hot 100. Earlier this year she became the 11th solo female to collect at least four Billboard Hot 100 top 10s from a debut album. First single "TiK ToK" topped the chart for nine weeks starting with the Hot 100 dated Jan. 2, 2010, followed by "Blah Blah Blah" (No. 7), "Your Love Is My Drug" (No. 4) and "Take It Off" (No. 8). In addition to those titles, Ke$ha had a top 10 appearance on 3OH!3's "My First Kiss" (No. 9) in May.

Cole: 'Girls Aloud will mark 10th year'

Cheryl Cole has reiterated that Girls Aloud have not permanently split up.

The X Factor judge claimed that the girl group would be around to celebrate their tenth anniversary in 2012.

"We'd have to mark our 10th year," Cole told X magazine. "It's pretty amazing to be in the industry for that long, and not a lot of people are that lucky. We have to mark that."

Since being formed on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, the group have released five studio albums and gone on to score 20 Top 10 hits.

Cole admitted that the group needed their break because they were "morphing into one" after spending so much time together.

"Sometimes you just need space to grow," she said. "I get what you mean, just looking at us all. Because we're still together a lot socially it doesn't seem so weird to us, but you only ever see us as individuals.

"We've got a three-album deal, so we're just waiting. We're not breaking up."
