Lady Gaga, Adele, and Nicki Minaj help boost album sales

BeyoncĂ© may have been on to something with that whole "Run the World (Girls)," business after all. Though Queen B's single didn't set the world on fire, in the first half of 2011, a number of her fellow divas — Adele, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry — have helped the music business achieve something it hasn't been able to in nearly eight years: positive growth.

Jessie J Wants To Duet With Rihanna

Jessie J has a special collaboration in mind - she wants to work with RiRi.

The singer-songwriter actually wrote her hit song Do It Like A Dude for the Bajan beauty but ended up recording it herself for her debut album Who You Are.

Now Jessie is hoping she can perform the track with Rihanna in the near future, as she revealed to Canada's New.Music.Live.

"I wanna ask her, I really wanna ask her if we can perform it together," explains the Price Tag singer. "Either on her tour or at V Festival or one of the big festivals. I definitely think that she would kill it.”

As for other dream collaborations, Jessie shared: "I'd definitely want to work with Aretha Franklin, Prince and Beyonce. I recently spoke with Jasmine Sullivan on the phone, I definitely want to get in the studio with her."

She continued: "I want to work with Willow Smith, I think she's incredible. It's a very humbling situation when an artist wants to work with you and you get the opportunity to work with them."

Justin Timberlake to Be Honored at Kids' Choice Awards

Nickelodeon is honoring Justin Timberlake for more than his burping.

The musician-turned-actor will receive the big help award on Saturday at the Kids' Choice Awards in L.A. for his charitable and environmental efforts, PEOPLE announces exclusively.

"I was inspired at a young age by my parents and family to do everything possible to give back to the world around us," Timberlake, 30, says in a statement. "And it has become a mission of mine to help kids of all ages understand the importance of getting involved in their communities and local charities and doing their part to preserve the planet."

Timberlake has been a dedicated supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children since 2008, and he hosts an annual PGA golf tournament with a week-long series of events that raises money for programs and services benefiting children in need. He also opened the environmentally friendly Mirimichi Golf Course in Millington, Tenn., which helps the surrounding wildlife habitat and uses less water.

Aside from being a two-time burp award champion, Timberlake has also received two blimps from the Kids' Choice Awards. And he hosted the show in 2007.

PEOPLE reported Monday that Willow Smith will perform at the show and that Kim Kardashian has signed on to present.

New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys will perform together live from Times Square on “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011,” on Friday, December 31 on the ABC Television Network. They join previously announced acts Ke$ha and Taio Cruz in Times Square as well as Los Angeles-based performers including Jennifer Hudson, Willow Smith, Ne-Yo, Avril Lavigne, Drake, Jason Derulo, La Roux, Mike Posner, Natasha Bedingfield, Far East Movement and Train.

Dick Clark and Ryan Seacrest will host the specials from New York beginning at 10 p.m. ET on Friday December 31st on the ABC Television Network and will be joined by Times Square Correspondent Jenny McCarthy. Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas returns to host the Los Angeles party portions of the specials.

The bi-coastal celebration will include three and one-half hours of special performances and reports on New Year’s celebrations from around the globe, as well as the American tradition of Dick Clark counting down to midnight from Times Square in New York City.

The festivities will kick off with “Dick Clark’s Primetime New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011” from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET, featuring the only live performances from New York’s Times Square as well as multiple performances from the Los Angeles celebration.

During “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011, Part 1” (11:30 p.m. - 1:08 a.m., ET), in addition to reporting on the final minutes of 2010 and the traditional Times Square countdown to midnight, the show will feature music performances from both Los Angeles and Times Square in New York.

Wrapping the night’s activities will be “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2011, Part 2” (1:08-2:11 a.m., ET), when musical acts will continue the party into the early hours of the New Year with additional performances from Los Angeles.

"We couldn't think of a better way to kick of the New Year than with our friends BSB at New Year's Rockin' Eve. Performing together on one stage in the middle of Times Square is epic. And it's all possible because of our fans. They're excited, we're excited and the heat they keep putting on us is what allows us to be a part of these monumental events. The excitement of this is just a glimpse of what our upcoming tour will be." -- NKOTB

"The NKOTBSB just keeps snowballing, getting bigger and better everyday. And nothing is as exciting as Times Square's New Year's countdown. We never dreamed we would be performing for New Year's Rockin' Eve in the middle of it for the millions of people there and all over the world. Just proves that anything is possible thanks to all of our fans." -- BSB

Whoa! Willow Smith You’re On Serious Fire — You’ve Beaten Rihanna in YouTube Video Views!

Willow Smith’s “Whip My Hair” video has quickly become a pop culture phenomenon and YouTube has the numbers to prove it!

There’s no doubt that everyone has fallen in love with 9-year-old Willow Smith and her song “Whip My Hair,” but the surprising thing is that she’s beating out heavy hitters in the music biz, like Rihanna, 22, for top video views on YouTube!

Rihanna’s video for “Only Girl (in the World)” was posted Oct. 14 and has reached 3,518,973 (and counting!) views. That’s not small peanuts for the multi-platinum music star, but from the looks of it, she’s got some serious competition!

Willow Smith, daughter of mega movie stars, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, has hit the music scene running with her song “Whip My Hair.” Her viewing numbers since the video premiere Oct. 19 have gone beyond expectation and trumped Rihanna with 4,909,999 (and counting!) views!

Wow! We are totally impressed that a 9-year-old can possess so much talent and charisma to steal the spotlight from a seasoned artist like Rihanna!
