Gwen Stefani’s Solo Days Are Over
It is with great sadness I type this post. Gwen Stefani has no plans to ever go solo again.
“That was a moment in time,” Stefani tells Entertainment Weekly about her solo career. “It went on a little longer than we all thought it would, because it was inspired and you have to go with wherever you’re at in that time in your life… [But] everything works out how it should.”
In April, Stefani spoke to Ryan Seacrest about the new No Doubt album, “We’ve been going for awhile trying to make this record and it s been super challenging but really fun. We’re trying to enjoy the moment of writing and…it’s just a really fun process and I think it’s going to be out this year,” she explained. “It’s generally a really happy album…the main thing we were trying to do is write really catchy good songs…we got about 10 songs done and we want to do a few more just in case, but it’s a really good record, I really love this record.”
The band are expected to make a special announcement about their future plans on Friday. I am assuming it will be album details. No Doubt’s last album, Rock Steady, was released in 2001. Rock Steady spawned three top 20 hits: “Underneath It All,” “Hella Good” and “Hey Baby.”
