12:25 pm - 02/20/2012 Michael Jackson estate considering ‘Bad 25′ and brand new album in 2012

Weitzman says that in addition to the Cirque show, the Michael Jackson estate is contemplating several other projects. The 25th anniversary of the Bad album in 2012 may be commemorated with a special package similar to 2008′s Thriller 25, while another set of unreleased material to follow 2010′s Michael collection is also being considered. “It’s a pretty vibrant estate in the sense that it continues to generate not just catalog opportunities but plenty of other ideas,” Weitzman says.

As for the tribute concert, which is slated to feature performances by the Black Eyed Peas, Christina Aguilera, Leona Lewis, Ne-Yo and Cee Lo Green, Weitzman says the estate is “kind of watching it like everybody else. They’ve never really had any discussions with us, so we’re just watching it all go by.”

Britney to be featured on will.i.am's new album

Britney Spears Big Fat Bass Photo Credit Roderick Trestrail Daily B: Britney To Be Featured on Will.I.Ams Upcoming Album

The Holy Spearit will continue to bless us with new tunes in 2012–even if it’s not through her own music.

In an interview with Capital FM, Black Eyed Peas front-man Will.I.Am confirmed that Britney will be featured on his upcoming album, #willpower.

From the interview:

"Speaking about the album’s collaborations, Will.i.am said: “I have a song with Alicia Keys – me, Alicia and Swedish House Mafia. I have a song with The Beats, which is pretty grand. Me and Shakira have been trying to finish the stuff we started, and me and Britney is really crazy.”

My personal feelings on Mr. I.Am aside, I could NOT be happier to hear that we’re about to hear a new tune from The One And Only Miss Spears. Here’s hoping the song features only Britney’s vocals! (A boy can dream.)

Y’all ready for the kick drum? For the kick drum? The bass is about to get EVEN. BIG-GAH.

THE BIGGEST LIVE MUSIC EVENT IN
RADIO HISTORY

The Black Eyed Peas Take An Indefinite Break

The Black Eyed Peas are always coming up with new ways to wow crowds. This time, though, the surprise was not what fans had hoped for.

At their Alton Towers show in Staffordshire earlier this week, the band announced that they would be taking an 'indefinite break' from making music together. Fergie told the audience that this show is "very special" because it is "last time we're going to be in England for a long time."

The band's frontman tried to soothe fans by saying, "We want you to know that we love you and thank you for the support you've given from the beginning." The band has a history of lengthy sabbaticals, their last one being 2005-2009, and she reassured fans that this 'break' is not a break up. "This isn't going to be the last time you'll see us," she said.

Fergie was not the only one saying they'll be back. Bandmate will.i.am tweeted "The @Bep will take a break after the beginning...just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d...but it doesn't mean we stop creating."

Adele single tops a million sales

Adele's Someone Like You has become the first single to sell more than a million copies this decade, the Official Charts Company said.

It spent four weeks at number one in Februarybefore bouncing back to the top of the chart for another week in March.

The song caught the nation's attention after the singer songwriter's performance at the Brit Awards in February this year.

Since 2000, only 16 singles have reached the million sales mark. The last singles to hit that were Poker Face by Lady Gaga and I Gotta Feeling by the Black Eyed Peas, both released in 2009.

In contrast to Adele, six of the million-sellers achieved this feat on the back of reality television shows such as Pop Idol and X Factor.

Will Young's Anything Is Possible/Evergreen sold 1.8 million copies after he won Pop Idol in 2002, and tops the list of this century's biggest sellers.

Adele's latest album 21 has spent 16 weeks at the top of the Official Albums Chart.

It has so far sold 2.6 million copies. Her first album, 19, has also doubled its sales this year, with 800,000 copies.

Official Charts Company managing director Martin Talbot said: "With an almost certain Mercury Music Prize nomination and 21's first Christmas season to come, I suspect her record-breaking antics are not over yet."
