“#SINGItForJapan” - My Chemical Romance
After the Japan Earthquake and Tsunami, My Chemical Romance put together special version of their hit "SING" with the proceeds benefitting Red Cross Japan.

"Born This Way" - Lady Gaga
Not only do a portion of the proceeds from Gaga's single "Born This Way" support the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which strives to eliminate sexual orientation or gender identity/expression bias in school communities, but a "Born this Way" remix was released on the "Songs for Japan" artist compilation album, which benefits relief efforts in Japan in the wake of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.


“Make A Wave” - Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas
"Make a Wave," sung by Demi Lovato & Joe Jonas benefits the Disney charity group Friends For Change campaign a pro-social green initiative.


“Thank You” - Cee Lo Green
Crediting volunteer firefighters for saving his mother, Cee Lo Green recorded "Thank You", another rewrite of the song "Forget You" which helps a campaign to donate 20 million batteries to volunteer fire departments.


“God Bless the USA” - Beyoncé
Beyoncé released a cover of "God Bless the USA" with proceeds going to the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund.


Music Artist

Linkin Park
Band member Mike Shinoda designed two T-shirts for the band's charity, Music for Relief, with proceeds going to relief work in Japan, while their song "Issho Ni" is available for download to benefit the victims of the tsunami.


Justin Bieber
Justin dedicated a music video to the many children battling illnesses worldwide, raising $150,000 for a Buffalo, New York children's hospital and works with Pencils of Promise to help build schools and increase education opportunities in the developing world by donating $1 from every ticket sold to the organization.


Adam Lambert
Throwing huge support towards the Trevor Project Adam donated all the proceeds from "Aftermath Remix" as well as joining the "It Gets Better" campaign. From the beginning of his career, Adam has supported DonorsChoose by helping raise $322,260 for the organization. Instead of birthday gifts for his 29th birthday, Adam asked that friends and family donate to his Charity:Water birthday campaign. In doing so, the fans exceeded his wish of raising $290,000 and raised over $320,000.


Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga called for the repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell, walking the VMAs red carpet with service members and speaking at a rally, as well as hosting the Hands up for Marriage Equality event supporting same-sex marriage, as well as being the face of the MAC Viva Glam campaign, with 100% of proceeds going to prevent HIV/AIDS.


Nick Jonas
Nick founded the Change for the Children Foundation with his two brothers, Joe and Kevin and is also a leading diabetes advocate and this year became the National Chair for JDRF's "Walk to Cure Diabetes."


The Black Eyed Peas
Black Eyed Peas members will.i.am, Fergie, Taboo, and apl.de.ap created the Peapod Foundation to encourage social change by uniting people, especially children, through the universal language of music and recently dedicated their video "Just Can't Get Enough" to victims of the Japanese Tsunami and added a link to the Red Cross at the end of the video urging people to donate to the relief efforts.
