New Edition Album 'In The Making,' Bobby Brown Says
Don't let the fancy footwork fool you: Bobby Brown says it took him two years to get back enough "muscle memory" to pull off the smoove moves that earned his group, New Edition, a permanent place in the annals of boy bands.
OK, maybe not two years, but Brown — whose shirtless onstage dancing once got him arrested, during his '90s heyday, in the state of Georgia — admitted it took some time when we caught up with him and his bandmates at last weekend's 2011 Essence Music Festival.

New Edition plans to reunite at Essence Music Festival
After 30 years of albums, turmoil and solo projects, New Edition is finally reuniting July 3 at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
The last time all six members of the group stood harmoniously onstage was in 1996 for the release of their album "Home Again."
The group has tried to reunite several times in the past, but conflict and erratic behavior by notorious singer Bobby Brown has hindered a successful comeback. Yet, Brown insists the past is behind the group. "We're just working on us and our friendship," he tells PEOPLE.
Along with fellow members Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell and Ronnie DeVoe, Brown is optimistic about the reunion.
"All of us are psyched about it," he says.
The group hopes to rekindle some of the chemistry that sold more than 40 million records worldwide during their 10-album career. "We're grown men, and we're able to talk and argue and pray and laugh," Brown says. "There's a lot of laughter (because) we remember some of the crazy times, and it's just funny to us now that we were able to make it past all of those crazy times and be able to come together as grown men and make this business happen."
The festival kicks off July 1 and expects thousands to turn out for concerts by Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and more!

Lance Bass Is Creating a Boy-Band Reality Contest Show
Lance Bass: reality producer extraordinaire. When we chatted with him at last night's Persol Magnificent Obsessions exhibition and party, he told us that he just sold six reality shows, including one to VH1. "It's a really great music show, starring all your favorite boy bands. It's going to be really fun," Bass says. "I got a member from Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean. A member from *NSYNC, Joey Fatone. A member from New Kids on the Block, Joe McIntyre. And a member from New Edition, Bobby Brown. They're all going to form a boy band, each, from the most talented guys in America that I've scouted, and then they'll go head-to-head in a competition to see who the best band is, so it's bragging rights for the guy in the group, for sure." Well, almost: Bass admits that Brown hasn't officially signed on yet. "I think Bobby will do it," Bass says. "I think he'd love it."

JC Chasez: I feel like my singing days are behind me
J.C. Chasez has worn a lot of hats throughout his 15 year career -- pop superstar, actor, reality show judge, producer ... and that doesn't even begin to cover the terrible toppers J.C. literally donned during his N'Sync days. Now he's slipping the songwriter hat back on to help out with Matthew Morrison's debut CD.
Turns out the gig wasn't that hard to come by since J.C. and Matthew are good friends -- but what started out as casually advice evolved into J.C. taking on a much more official role as he co-wrote two of the disc's ten tracks.
In addition to that, J.C. also has the season finale of "America's Best Dance Crew" approaching -- an episode that promises to be the most competitive yet. Or at least that's the impression I got while chatting with the multi-hyphenate ... who plans to remove one of those professional hats from his career closet for good.

Ringo Starr European tour gets ready to launch with a few new added dates Continue reading on Examiner.com: Ringo Starr European tour gets ready to launch with a few new added dates
Three more shows, two new and one with a date change, are the latest and probably last additions to Ringo Starr's summer All-Starr Band tour schedule that kick offs June 4 in Kiev.
The two new shows are July 14 at Salzburg, Austria and July 17 at Vienna, Austria, which will end the tour. The date for a show originally scheduled for July 6 in Frankfurt, Germany, is now July 16.
The tour now comprises 28 shows and it's likely there won't be any more additions, according to Ringo's publicist. Ringo's All-Starr Band is the same group that tour the U.S. last year: Edgar Winter, Rick Derringer, Wally Palmar, Gary Wright, Richard Page and Gregg Bissonette.
Here's the updated tour schedule:
