Nicola Roberts set for electro sound
WITH inspiration from outspoken rapping nutter M.I.A. and Swedish singer ROBYN, the new solo album from NICOLA ROBERTS is shaping up to be more edgy than bandmate CHERYL COLE's.
Producer JOE MOUNT from METRONOMY, whose decent new album The English Riviera is out this week, said: "We did two tracks together, one of them is a bit more electronic-sounding.
"She was really into Robyn and M.I.A.
"I was surprised but it's a good place for her to start."

Rebecca Black Gets Her Own Billboard
It's Friday—the perfect day for Rebecca Black to make showbiz history. Yes, on this day, Friday April 15, 2011, the 14-year-old Internet phenomenon scored an achievement unparalleled even by her idol, Justin Bieber. The plucky eighth grader with the robotic voice can now gloat down upon the smog-enshrouded streets of Los Angeles, California from her very own billboard.
Yes, Rebecca Black has her own billboard. The giant advertisement was erected to commemorate the day Black's repetitive ditty, Friday, garnered 100+ million You Tube views; thereby surpassing not only Justin Bieber's Pray, but also Lady Gaga's Born This Way. Her friend, Ryan Seacrest, posted a picture on his Facebook page showing the viral video superstar posing in front of her latest triumph. You can scrutinize that photo here. Or, if you're a true blue—er—Black Friday fan, you can make a pilgrimage to the City of Angels and see said billboard personally. You can even lunch at the Subway on the corner and spend an entire afternoon gazing at the giant image of your idol.
Speaking of Black Friday, Rebecca Black's traveling road show tour will begin in just a few short months in Australia. So, if you're lucky enough to reside in the Land Down Under, be sure to get your tickets early.
And after the concert, you can party with your friends.
