Sleigh Bells reveal details of their next album
The noise-pop duo Sleigh Bells stopped by Rolling Stone this week before a pair of sold-out shows in New York City to chat about their second album, which they've been working on while touring for their debut record Treats over the past year. "Emotionally, it's a really heavy record," guitarist and producer Derek E. Miller says of the new tunes. "Even the early demos that we have now, a lot of the stuff that Derek has recorded, sounds more immense to me," says singer Alexis Krauss. "It sounds really huge, so there's going to still be tons of volume."
Beyonce Delays Release Of ‘Run The World (Girls)’ Video
In a less than fortunate twist of events, the long awaited visual for Beyonce’s ‘Run The World (Girls)’ video has been delayed. This comes just one day after it was announced the clip would premiere tomorrow (Friday 13th).
“OK, bad news: ‘Run The World(Girls) won’t be out on Fri like we thought. No new date yet, Beyonce is perfecting it‘ was the official statement regarding the delay posted by VEVO less than an hour ago. This comes after the revitalization of interest in the visual and the song itself which was brought on by the release of a third trailer yesterday.
Whilst the Houston native’s departure from Mathew Knowles and his team was heralded as being a brave and necessary career move, there is no denying that the organization exhibited in previous promotional campaigns headed by Papa Knowles is not apparent now the 29 year old is managing herself.
Britney Spears Confirms 'I Wanna Go' As Next Single
Pop icon Britney Spears confirms that the summer-friendly, up-tempo “I Wanna Go” is the official third single from her platinum-certified Femme Fatale (Jive Records). “I Wanna Go” is produced by Shellback, Savan Kotecha and long-time collaborator Max Martin. Innovative director Chris Marrs Piliero has been tapped to direct the video.
“I Wanna Go” comes on the heels of her most recent No. 1 smash hits, “Hold It Against Me” and “Till The World Ends” which ranks #1 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart. Both songs are from Britney's critically acclaimed seventh album. Billboard also notes that “Till The World Ends” coupled with the remix featuring Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha gives Spears a radio audience of 87 million in the U.S., which is “the highest weekly audience of her 12-and-a-half-year chart career.”
Britney’s Femme Fatale Tour with special guest Nicki Minaj, Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo kicks off June 16th in Sacramento, CA.

Lupe Fiasco, Trey Songz To Perform At 2011 MTV Movie Awards
We just can't get Lupe Fiasco's songs out of our head, so the Chicago rapper has been tapped to perform alongside Trey Songz at the 2011 MTV Movies Awards. On the live June 5 show, Lu will rock two songs from his Lasers album which debuted at #1 on the Billboard albums chart when it was released earlier this year.
First Fiasco will take the stage with Trigga Trey to do their collabo song "Out of My Head" for the first time together on television, then Lupe will perform his platinum Kane Beatz-produced single "The Show Goes On."
" 'Out of My Head' is such a dope song and easily one of my favorite collaborations to date," Trey Songz said in a statement. "When Lupe first played the track for me I knew it was going to be a smash, and I'm happy it's been received so well. The MTV Movie Awards are such a special event, and Lupe is a great performer, so I am excited to be able to do the show with him."
"I'm excited to be performing on this year's MTV Movie Awards," said Lupe Fiasco. "I'm looking forward to putting together another special performance for my fans."
The 2011 MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by actor/comedian Jason Sudeikis and will be broadcast live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, on Sunday, June 5, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
Ryan Reynolds, Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, Jason Segel, Aziz Ansari and Steve Carell are presenting at the show, and more appearances will be announced soon.

Ciara Announces She'll Tour With Timbaland
Ciara has been laying low as of late, but that doesn't mean she plans to stay out of the limelight for long. The singer, who has recently been dealing with a bit of record label drama, announced her return to the stage, as she goes on tour this summer with rapper/producer/general superstar Timbaland.
Ciara's leg of the tour will begin at the end of May, with stops in South Africa and Zimbabwe to promote the ZAR (Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek, the dutch term for the South African Republic and an acronym by which it is commonly referred).
Currently there are only four tour dates that have been officially announced: Johanesburg, Durban, Nelspruit, and Harare. The chance for additional dates to be added, however, seems rather high, especially given that Lil' Kim and Fat Joe are also signed on to be a part of the mini-tour.

Kelly Rowland Reveals Her ‘Here I Am’ Album Title
With her current single “Motivation” climbing the chart (this week it’s at #31 on the Hot 100), Kelly Rowland decided the time was right to reveal that the title of her upcoming third solo album is Here I Am. Last month the onetime Destiny’s Child singer mentioned on 106 & Park that the LP would be out in late summer, but it’s apparently now slated for a fall release (probably to allow enough time between her release and Beyonce’s 4). Find out how she came up with the title below.
Miss Kelly explained the meaning behind Here I Am to Billboard:
“I was talking to my product manager. “I said I wanted people to know that this is the record, the sound I’ve been working toward… that here I am. And she said, that’s the title. It just connected with my heart and the music as well. It stands for everything I’ve gone through and thought about for this record as a woman. It’s very strong.”On 106 & Park last month, Rowland mentioned that the album celebrates women. “It actually starts with ‘Motivation,’ which is of course letting in on that sensual side,” Kelly said. “But the album tells the story of everything else—strength and character…friendship. It’s fantastic.”
In addition to Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, who were behind the boards for “Motivation,” Here I Am also boasts production by Dr. Luke, Stargate, RedOne, Tricky Stewart and Rodney Jerkins. We, for one, are hoping Kelly finally achieves the solo hit status she deserves with this project!
Are you looking forward to the release of her new album? Let us know.
