Madonna begins work on new album
Madonna leaving a recording studio in London (July 02 2011)
Back in June, MTV confirmed that Madonna was going to return to the recording studio this month:
Her longtime manager, Guy Oseary, took to Twitter to share the news that Madge will hit the studio in July. "Madonna goes into the recording studio next month to begin work on new album ...," he wrote, sharing little else about what the Material Girl has up her sleeve. But Oseary did have a few little nuggets of information for Madge's most devoted, writing, "She has a good idea of which producers she will be working with ... lots of questions about what kind of music it will be ... stay tuned."

New Edition plans to reunite at Essence Music Festival
After 30 years of albums, turmoil and solo projects, New Edition is finally reuniting July 3 at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans.
The last time all six members of the group stood harmoniously onstage was in 1996 for the release of their album "Home Again."
The group has tried to reunite several times in the past, but conflict and erratic behavior by notorious singer Bobby Brown has hindered a successful comeback. Yet, Brown insists the past is behind the group. "We're just working on us and our friendship," he tells PEOPLE.
Along with fellow members Johnny Gill, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell and Ronnie DeVoe, Brown is optimistic about the reunion.
"All of us are psyched about it," he says.
The group hopes to rekindle some of the chemistry that sold more than 40 million records worldwide during their 10-album career. "We're grown men, and we're able to talk and argue and pray and laugh," Brown says. "There's a lot of laughter (because) we remember some of the crazy times, and it's just funny to us now that we were able to make it past all of those crazy times and be able to come together as grown men and make this business happen."
The festival kicks off July 1 and expects thousands to turn out for concerts by Usher, Jennifer Hudson, Kanye West, Mary J. Blige and more!

Gloriana Offers Free Download of “Soldier Song” This Week
Gloriana is celebrating Independence Day and all the men and women who serve or have served in our military by offering their tune “Soldier Song” from their upcoming album as a free download. From now until July 7, fans can download the track exclusive at http://facebook.com/gloriana. Written by Tom and Mike Gossin and Matt Serletic, “Soldier Song” was inspired by the band’s trip overseas to perform for the troops stationed in the Middle East and Europe in November.
“After our trip overseas we were so inspired by the military men and women we met,” Mike Gossin said. “We wrote “Soldier Song” to show our gratitude and give something back to all the service men and women out there. The timing couldn’t be better than 4th of July weekend to celebrate this song by releasing it to our fans.”
The band has also asked fans to submit photos of friends and family members in the service for a special video that was created for “Soldier Song.” The video will also be available exclusively on Gloriana’s Facebook page from June 30 to July 7.
Gloriana recently shot the video for their current single, for “Wanna Take You Home” in Nashville, which will premiere in mid-July. They are currently on the road performing at festivals and fairs across the country in support of their upcoming second studio album.
