Beyonce’s upcoming fourth studio album seems to be coming along even faster than anybody realized, with producer Sean Garrett dishing some brand new details about the disc to Music Mix at last weekends VMAs. According to Garrett, Bey will be focused on making “party music” on the new LP, which isn’t really much of a surprise since the diva is primarily known for her upbeat, booty shaking club tracks.
“I am going in the studio with BeyoncĂ© this week to work on her next record,” Garrett told the Music Mix at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards. “I think we are doing a lot of up-tempo records for this one. She’s in such a good place right now in life that she is interested in making party music, definitely.”
Sean has worked with Bey on a number of tracks before, including “Check On It”, my personal favorite “Upgrade U”, “Get Me Bodied”, the horrendous “Ring the Alarm”, “Diva” and the classy “Video Phone”.
Sticking primarily to trashy club tracks is a good move for Bey. During her last album, I Am Sasha Fierce, they tried to push the acoustic ballad “If I Were a Boy” as the album’s main single, but despite heavy promotion the song couldn’t reach the top of the charts, while “Single Ladies” unexpectedly blew up due to it’s gimmicky Soulja Boy-style dance and fun beat. Plus, Bey really amped up her sex appeal over the last two years, delivering more vulgar performances than ever before, so mindless, raunchy uptempo tracks will work well for her on the new album, instead of trying to pass off those ghostwritten ballads as her own works of genius.

It's gonna cost Michael Jackson fans if they want to continue leaving gifts inside the King of Pop's mausoleum -- because TMZ has learned the cemetery is now charging a special $3 MJ delivery fee.

According to sources at the infamous burial space, Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, CA has decided to take down the stage where fans were previously allowed to place gifts -- and are now enacting a new gifting policy ... so long as fans pay the price and abide by the rules.
Effective immediately, cemetery staff will take gifts for MJ inside the mausoleum -- where fans are still forbidden from setting foot -- for a $3 fee ... oh yeah, as long as those gifts are flowers.
Anything else -- teddy bears, posters, picture frames, candles -- will get dumped ... and if they run out of space inside, we're told excess gifts will have to brave the elements outside.

Lady Gaga, perhaps the most sought after and compelling name in show business these days, has signed a long-term licensing deal with Coty Inc. to create fragrances under her name.
Stephen Mormoris, senior vice president of global marketing in the Coty Beauty division, told WWD exclusively the agreement was hammered out last week and the first Lady Gaga women’s scent is expected to be launched in spring 2012.
Mormoris sees the significance of the Lady Gaga deal in cultural terms with her appeal and huge following embodying all age groups worldwide. Describing her as a “phenomenon,” Mormoris clearly sees the singer as “a fascinating cultural force” who is capable of electrifying the market.
Further details of the deal and the fragrance were unavailable at press time.
