Katy Perry - E.T. [60 SECOND PREVIEW]

Videos of Britney Spears on Jimmy Kimmel

GaGa and Foo Fighters for Radio 1 Big Weekend

Radio 1’s flagship live event the Big Weekend is to take place in Carlisle this year, with Foo Fighters and Lady GaGa headlining.

The event takes place over the weekend of Saturday May 14 and Sunday May 15 at the Carlisle Airfield.

Over four stages - the Main Stage, the In New Music We Trust Stage, the Outdoor Stage and the BBC Introducing Stage -a line up of UK and international acts will perform, including the Black Eyed Peas, Tinie Tempah, Chase & Status, Plan B, Ellie Goulding, Jessie J and Nicole Scherzinger.

Free tickets for the 40,000 capacity event will be available via bbc.co.uk/radio1, with registration opening tomorrow (Thursday) at 815am.

Radio 1 editor of live events Neil Wyatt said he believed the event – which has previously played host to the likes of Madonna and Rihanna – has its best line up to date in 2011.

“We’re bringing some huge international and UK artists to the city and it should have a huge impact on the area,” he said.

GaGa added, “I've been planning and rehearsing for so many months now and, after two years of working on my new album, I'll get to do a great big performance in the UK. I'm mostly excited for Radio 1's Big Weekend because I can't wait to see all of the monsters in the UK. Expect a monster avant-garde pop fantasia.”

As in previous years, Radio1 will use the opportunity to push the boat out with its multi-platform coverage. The event will be broadcast on Radio 1, with an interactive presence online at bbc.co.uk/radio1.

There will be highlights on BBC Three and extended performances can be viewed via the Red Button during the weekend.

Last year’s Big Weekend took place in Bangor, with a line up that included Florence & The Machine, Rihanna and Alicia Keys.

Britney Spears' 2011 Tour Ticket Prices Raise Eyebrows

The controversy surrounding Britney Spears seems never-ending. If it's not her manic mumblings or rage-induced head shaving, it's her parenting practices, substance use or flavor of the week. The newest eyebrow-raising gossip, however, is less to do with the songstress' admittedly unpredictable behavior, and more to do with her upcoming 2011 Femme Fatale tour, namely the astronomical ticket prices!

While sure, Britney Spears has worked her way from her infamous "Baby...One More Time" debut to the spectacle of dramatics and special effects that her show currently is, does she really expect to pull in the pretty penny she's asking for tickets to the summer tour, which range from $96-$346 per seat?

That's right, ladies and gents. Even if you want a nosebleed seat to see the singer this time around, you're looking to pay well over $100 minimum, once taxes and fees are figured in.

Add to that the fact that Britney Spears has fallen victim to the oh-so-common over-autotune effect these days, and what you're really paying to see is some bad singing with some decent dance moves.

Would you pay over $100 to see Britney Spears?

Enrique Iglesias-Britney Spears Tour Still Possible, Source Says

Even though Enrique Iglesias pulled out of Britney Spears' tour just hours after it was announced this morning, sources tell Billboard.biz that negotiations are under way that could result in a Spears/Iglesias tour taking place this summer, after all.

While some of the sticking points may be related to money -- and whether Iglesias would receive a percentage of the "back end" or box office receipts in addition to a per-show guarantee -- much of the problem seems to stem from perception, a source said.

Iglesias is a headlining artist and has been for some time, and would carry his own fully themed production on the tour. The language in the carefully-worded press release -- which was withdrawn from certain outlets shortly after it was sent today -- stated the pair would "tour together" but stopped short of calling it a "co-headlining" tour, the phrase commonly used for such superstar pairings as Billy Joel and Elton John, for example.

The general perception is that it's a Britney Spears tour: She's the headliner, she would close the show, and the announcement was timed with her appearance on "Good Morning America" and the release of her new album "Femme Fatale," both of which took place today.

And, according to sources, Spears' pay is several times what Iglesias would earn.

At press time, representatives for both artists and the tour's promoter had not granted Billboard.biz's requests for comment.

Billboard.biz will have more on this story as it develops.

Justin Timberlake to Be Honored at Kids' Choice Awards

Nickelodeon is honoring Justin Timberlake for more than his burping.

The musician-turned-actor will receive the big help award on Saturday at the Kids' Choice Awards in L.A. for his charitable and environmental efforts, PEOPLE announces exclusively.

"I was inspired at a young age by my parents and family to do everything possible to give back to the world around us," Timberlake, 30, says in a statement. "And it has become a mission of mine to help kids of all ages understand the importance of getting involved in their communities and local charities and doing their part to preserve the planet."

Timberlake has been a dedicated supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children since 2008, and he hosts an annual PGA golf tournament with a week-long series of events that raises money for programs and services benefiting children in need. He also opened the environmentally friendly Mirimichi Golf Course in Millington, Tenn., which helps the surrounding wildlife habitat and uses less water.

Aside from being a two-time burp award champion, Timberlake has also received two blimps from the Kids' Choice Awards. And he hosted the show in 2007.

PEOPLE reported Monday that Willow Smith will perform at the show and that Kim Kardashian has signed on to present.

Enrique Iglesias Pulls Out Of Britney Spears Tour

Enrique Iglesias has pulled out of the Britney Spears North American tour just hours after the tour was announced, sources tell Billboard.biz.

Tour promoter Live Nation declined to comment; Billboard.biz will have more on this story as details emerge.

The tour was announced shortly before the singer's appearance on "Good Morning America" this morning.

Plans called for Iglesias, who is currently on tour in Europe, to be much more than a standard opening act; he was slated to carry full production on the Spears tour. While two such high-profile artists with top-shelf production values was sure to be attractive to fans, such an endeavor is also very expensive to produce.

Spears' tour will be produced by Live Nation, with veteran pop tour promoter Brad Wavra, VP at Live Nation, running point. Wavra has previously steered successful tours by such acts as Backstreet Boys, 'Nsync and the Jonas Brothers. Tickets will be available at Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com. Additional on-sale dates will be announced at a later date. Citi cardmembers will also have access to presale tickets through Citi's Private Pass Program.

"Femme Fatale" won't go Number One in the U.K.

Bad news for Britney Spears – the 29-year-old singer’s new album Femme Fatale looks very much in danger of missing out on the Number One spot this weekend. This makes us sad.

We think Femme Fatale is Britney’s best album to date, but it seems the record buying public don’t agree – Brit’s seventh album is at Number Three in mid-week sales chart, behind Adele and Radiohead. Radiohead’s The King Of Limbs is only a few thousand copies ahead of Brit, but Adele’s mega-selling 21 has sold more than 42,000 copies verses just over 13,000 sold by Britney. Obviously these figures only take one day of sales into account, but Britney’s going to have to do more than pose with her leg in the air if she wants to debut at Number One.

Rebecca Black following 'Friday' with 'LOL' single and album

Rebecca Black isn't going to rest on her laurels after the online storm she's caused with 'Friday' – she's making a full album.

The much-derided singer has already planned the follow-up to the internet smash single: a number called 'LOL'.

She's recording the single and album at the Flying Pig Productions studio in Los Angeles, although she's working without a record deal.

And despite her lyrics being slammed for being mundane, Black has said that she’s not about to change tack now. "I like the fact I am singing like a 13-year-old girl, not trying to be anything else," she told The Sun. "I would consider some [songs on the album] teenage love songs but I want to keep it appropriate and clean."

She also had some words for those who have taken a pop at her.

"People were saying, 'You're the worst singer, this is the worst song'," she outlined. "They criticised my voice and the lyrics. But I call them negative Nancies. They can try to rain on my parade but as far as I'm concerned they are raining on their own parade."

Adele's 21 matches Madonna's album chart record

As her new album continues to roll through the charts, Adele has matched Madonna as the female solo act with the most consecutive weeks at No 1. 21, released in January, has now spent nine weeks at the top of the album charts – tying the record set by Madonna's greatest hits collection more than two decades ago.

At just 22 years old, Adele is on a commercial tear. Last month, she became the first act since the Beatles to have two top five singles and two top five albums in the charts at the same time. This week, not only is 21 still at peak position on the album charts – her debut record, 19, released about two years ago, remains at No 2. 21 sold 56,000 copies last week, according to the Official Charts Company, bringing total sales to 1,496,588.

It's an enormous accomplishment for a second album, but Adele still has a long way to go beat the all-time heavy-hitters. Although Madonna holds the record for the most consecutive weeks at No 1 by a female solo act, the Beatles' Please Please Me spent 30 weeks in the top slot. The all-time record-holder, the original South Pacific soundtrack, spent 70 weeks at the top of the UK album charts. To match this record, 21 would have to stay at No 1 well into 2012.

On the bright side, Adele's new single, Someone Like You, is back at No 1 after playing second fiddle for a week to Nicole Scherzinger's Don't Hold Your Breath.

Adele also has two other singles in the top 40, and is enjoying success in the American charts, after topping Billboard's album chart last week.

Miley Cyrus announces first Australian tour

Cyrus will play Rod Laver Arena on June 23.

Special pre-sale tickets go on sale via Visa Entertainment at noon on Monday until 5pm next Thursday, with general tickets on sale on April 12 through Ticketek.

Promoter Paul Dainty has ensured all tickets to the concerts will be under $100 for Cyrus's young fanbase, built up thanks to her hit TV show Hannah Montana.

The 18-year-old wants to remind Australian fans she's a musician, not just a celebrity, with her new Gypsy Heart tour, created especially for countries she's never visited.

"I want to show people who I really am more than just what they see on TV," she said.

"It's going to be different to all my other tours. It's all about the music. There'll be acoustic things, songs I've never done on tour before.

"I want to make it special. I've never toured Australia before. It's going to be really personal. I want to take requests from the fans.

"My last tour was all about how many costume changes we could do. This tour is not about that."

Cyrus has weathered a storm in the past year, with her parents splitting (they have since reunited) and making headlines after being photographed smoking a legal herbal substance in a bong.

"I mess up. There you go," she said.

"But if you live your life trying to be perfect you don't really live your life ever, because you don't really make any mistakes and at the end of your life you won't be very smart or wise."

Cyrus also revealed she is still friends with her Australian ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, whom she met on a film set.

Cyrus visited Australia last year, staying at Hemsworth's home on Phillip Island, where she was introduced to some local cuisine.

"Liam's delicacy is those macaroni pie things. When I came home my mum was like, 'Oh it's like you've been to Nashville again'. It was almost like Southern food.

"Liam told me Phillip Island would remind me of home but by the sea and I'd die when I see it.

"There's nowhere as cool as my house or where I'm from in Nashville."

Adele's '21' Ties Beatles, Madonna U.K. Album Charts Record

Adele's epic reign on the U.K. sales charts strengthened again yesterday (Mar. 27), as her "21" album (XL) started a ninth week at No. 1 and its single "Someone Like You" climbed back to the top, 2-1, giving it five of the last six weeks at the summit.

It's just over ten years since any album spent nine weeks in a row at No. 1 in the U.K.; the Beatles' "1" compilation achieved the feat from November 2000 to January 2001. "21" is the first album by a solo female to spend this long at the U.K. peak since Madonna's "The Immaculate Collection" exactly ten years before that, from November 1990 to January 1991.

"21" sold another 156,000 copies last week, according to the Official Charts Company, to take its total sales to Saturday night (26) to 1,496,588. "Someone Like You" sold a further 82,000 units and Adele's first album "19" another 47,000, to post another week at No. 2.

The Strokes' new album "Angles" (Rough Trade) debuted at No. 3, selling 35,000 units. There were also top ten debuts for "When Ronan Met Burt" (Polydor), the collaboration between Irish singer Ronan Keating and songwriting giant Burt Bacharach, at No. 5; Nicole Scherzinger's "Killer Love" (Interscope/Universal) at No. 8 (containing last week's No. 1 single "Don't Hold Your Breath," now down into runner-up spot); and Chris Brown's "F.A.M.E." (Jive/Sony Music Entertainment) at No. 10.

Arriving inside the album top 20 were Duran Duran's "All You Need Is Now" (Tape Modern/Edel) at No. 11, blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa's "Dust Bowl" (Provogue) at a U.K. career-best No. 12, Green Day's live set "Awesome As F**k" (Reprise/Warner Music) at No. 14, and "Up On The Roof - The Very Best of the Drifters" (Rhino/Sony Music Entertainment) at No. 17. "Massive R&B - Spring 2011" (Rhino/UMTV) started a second week atop the compilation chart.

The singles chart also registered a 15-3 rise for Black Eyed Peas' "Just Can't Get Enough" (Interscope/Universal) and a No. 11 debut for the Comic Relief charity fundraiser "I Know Him So Well" (Syco Music/Sony Music Entertainment) by comedian Peter Kay and Susan Boyle.

Did Rebecca Black really make $1 million from "Friday"?

The Rebecca Black saga in brief: Parents hire company to produce two cheesy pop songs and one cheesy video for 13-year-old daughter. Self-described "music factory" writes song including explanation of order of days of week. Daughter sings song. Producers auto-tune the bejesus out of it. "Music factory" unleashes song and promo on unsuspecting world. Video goes viral when critics trash it as "the most appalling thing on the Internet." Girl complains of "cyber-bullying." Then comes vindication. Gaga says she is a genius. Forbes declares her a millionaire.

She's baaaack!

Britney Spears is headed to Las Vegas Friday to perform a mini concert at Palms Casino Resort's Rain Nightclub, which will be filmed for an upcoming MTV special.

Stevie Nicks Releases Album Trailer

Why Do Radiohead Fans Insist There'll be a Sequel to 'The King of Limbs'?

Ever since Radiohead's eighth album The King of Limbs was released in February, a significant number of the band's fans have insisted that the eight-song record was the first part of a larger work or series of EPs. One website, The King of Limbs Part 2, is devoted to proving that a follow-up is in the pipeline. This is very odd, as the band have said absolutely nothing to support this theory and have consistently advertised The King of Limbs as a complete, discrete work.

It's easy to see why fans would believe more Radiohead music is on the way. The band set a precedent a decade ago by releasing Kid A and Amnesiac, two albums recorded during the same sessions, less than a year apart in 2000 and 2001. Members of the group have also talked about transitioning into abandoning the album format in favor of releasing EPs and singles in various interviews over the past few years.

The band clearly has an open mind about atypical releases and very well could put out more music in the near future. The peculiar thing is that so many fans are insisting that the 37-minute, 29-second-long album is not, in fact, an album at all, despite the band labeling it as such.

It could be that fans are disappointed that The King of Limbs is a relatively brief work, particularly after waiting four years since the group's previous record In Rainbows. Others may be let down by the muted, arty music (even compared to their experimental Kid A) on Limbs, and are eager to fit the record into a larger career narrative. Strangely, it could be that many people have forgotten that albums can be brief or contain a relatively small number of compositions after decades of track listings bloated by the expansive constraints of CDs.

In the vinyl era, it was not unusual at all for albums to have eight songs or fewer. Led Zeppelin's IV, Television's Marquee Moon, Patti Smith's Horses and Roxy Music's For Your Pleasure also contain 8 tracks. Steely Dan's Aja, Kraftwerk's Trans Europe Express, Can's Tago Mago, Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here and the Velvet Underground's White Light/White Heat all have fewer tracks.

In terms of album length, 37:29 is longer than a host of classic albums including the Beatles' Revolver, the Beach Boys' Pet Sounds, Nick Drake's Pink Moon, Joni Mitchell's Blue, Dusty Springfield's Dusty in Memphis, Wire's Pink Flag, Slayer's Reign in Blood and Sleater-Kinney's Dig Me Out.

It's not even usual for recent records to be so brief. Joanna Newsom's acclaimed album Ys has five tracks, while Sleigh Bells' celebrated debut Treats from last year clocks in at a lean 32:04.

Though many of Radiohead's fans are old-school obsessives who are willing to pore over the band's website and artwork searching for clues that may lead to new music, a lot of them seem to have very rigid notions of what an album can be.

Kanye West and Jay-Z have completed their new joint album

Jay-Z and Kanye West's 'Watch The Throne' album is complete apart from "little tweaks".

Producer Guru said the bulk of recording is complete and he's currently doing his best to get the rap superstars to "hurry up" in completing it.

He told Vibe.com: "Right now, I'm really trying to get Jay and Kanye to hurry up and finish this 'Watch The Throne' album because the world needs to hear it.

"It just needs little tweaks and things like that. But the core of the album is finished. Kanye takes what contributing producers do and adds on to it and I think that's his genius."

One track from the album, 'H.A.M.', has already been released digitally, but fellow rapper Talib Kweli said the song is not representative of the overall album.

He said: "I think the most unexpected part is kind of out the way with 'H.A.M.' That was probably the last kind of track I was expecting to hear from Jay and Kanye, but they definitely have some tricks up their sleeves.

"And they have some types of songs that you would think they might have. They really did a good job at covering all aspects, from the songs I've heard."

In February it was reported Kanye and Jay took over a whole floor of the Mercer hotel in New York to lay down tracks for the album, and they also held recording sessions in England last year.

No release date for 'Watch The Throne' has been set yet.

Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj to Collaborate Again?

X-Factor judges L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell were live on On Air with Ryan Seacrest on KIIS 102.7FM in Los Angeles this morning to promote their upcoming auditions for the show.

In the interview, Ryan asked L.A. Reid to confirm the rumors about Nicki Minaj being one of the judges on the much-hyped-lately reality TV singing competition that's premiering on FOX in the Fall. Ryan's source apparently has seen Nicki Minaj in L.A.'s office recently.

L.A. has denied the rumors and said: "Nicki Minaj in my office? She just made a record with Rihanna. Had her do another record with Mariah, had nothing to do with X-Factor."

This will be Mariah and Nicki's second time to work together if this project materializes. As we all know, Mariah and Nicki previously collaborated on the remix version of "Up Out My Face" in early 2010.

'Glee': All-Warblers album gets a release date. See the full (spoiler-y) track list

They might be out of the running for Nationals, but the Warblers still have plenty to celebrate now that their previously announced album finally has a release date! (To be fair, it’s only been two weeks, but we’re impatient.)

Sony announced today that Glee: The Music presents The Warblers will hit shelves April 19 and feature three songs fans have yet to hear: Keane’s “Somewhere Only We Know,” a live version of “What Kind of Fool” (performed at this year’s MusiCares Person of the Year gala in Los Angeles), and Rod Stewart’s “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy” (…yes). The latter two are pegged as album exclusives.

New Bon Iver Album Imminent

Folksy Bon Iver mastermind Justin Vernon has certainly kept busy as of late, but it's been more than a minute since we've heard any word on the follow-up to Bon Iver's 2009 EP Blood Bank. Now, a Rolling Stone article sheds a bit of light on Bon Iver's forthcoming LP. The as-yet-untitled ten-song record is set for release some time in June.

According to Rolling Stone, experimental saxophonist Colin Stetson and pedal-steel guitarist Greg Leisz (Wilco, Joni Mitchell) were tapped to contribute to the record. Tracks include "Perth", which Vernon refers to as "a Civil War-sounding heavy metal song" and Rolling Stone reports that it features "a marching drum beat, a children's choir and wailing guitars," "Minnesota Wisconsin", and the closer "Beth/Rest", which Vernon claims is "definitely the part where you pick up your joint and re-light it." Okay!

Ginuwine Says Aaliyah Would Be 'Neck & Neck' With Beyonce

R&B songstress Aaliyah Haughton would have turned 32 years old back in January. After her tragic death in 2001, many female artists drew comparison to the R&B singer with fierce dance moves. However, if you ask Ginuwine, Beyoncé is the artist that reminds him most of Aaliyah.

"Aaliyah was in a class by herself," Ginuwine tells The BoomBox. "If you're talking triple threat of a writer, singer and actress, that would probably be Beyoncé. If Aaliyah were still here, she and Beyoncé would be neck and neck."

Beyoncé's career with Destiny's Child was already thriving when Aaliyah was alive. The trio released their self-titled debut in 1998, and Aaliyah passed just three years after that. Both also went on to pursue acting alongside music. Aaliyah added actress to her resume with roles in 2000's 'Romeo Must Die' and a lead role in 2002's 'Queen of the Damned,' which was released after the singer passed away.

The DC front woman had parts in films like MTV's 'Carmen: A Hip Hopera in 2001,' along with ancillary roles in 2002's 'Austin Powers in Goldmember' and 'The Fighting Temptations' a year later, before really driving the point home with her riveting roles in 2006's 'Dreamgirls' and 2008's 'Cadillac Records,' which really solidified the artist's position as a serious actress. While Aaliyah's life was cut short and she was unable to continue her career, Ginuwine is confident that Miss Haughton would have been equally successful.

While the Aaliyah comparisons with newer artists still float on today, Ginuwine says it's nothing to shun. "Ain't nothing wrong with that," he says. "I think everyone should aspire to be someone great, and that was one of the greats. Aaliyah was one of the great ones."

Disco singer Loleatta Holloway dies of heart failure

Disco singer Loleatta Holloway, known for the 1980 hit "Love Sensation," has died.

Her manager, Ron Richardson, says Holloway died of heart failure Monday night at a suburban Chicago hospital. She was 64.

Holloway recorded several disco singles, including "Hit and Run" and "Runaway." But she's best known for "Love Sensation."

Her vocals were sampled by Black Box for the 1989 hit "Ride on Time" and by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch for the song "Good Vibrations" in 1991.

Ke$ha Postpones Japanese Tour

News of Ke$ha postponing her upcoming Japanese tour doesn't come as much of a surprise. Following the devastating earthquake and tsunami that ravaged the country and left the looming threat of a nuclear crisis, travel in and out of Japan is far from easy. But the news is probably still a disappointment for fans looking forward to an escape from the tragedy that has struck the country.

Ke$ha is one of many western musical acts who have been forced to cancel or postpone tour dates in Japan following the earthquake. Her Japanese promoter, Creativeman Productions, who was responsible for pulling the plug, have also had to cancel their annual spring R&B and hip-hop festival Springgrove with headliners Nelly and Flo Rida, as well as Punkspring, their annual punk and hardcore fest that was set to feature Good Charlotte and Hoobastank.

In a statement released through Creative Productions, Ke$ha expressed her concern and pledged to help in any way she could.

"My heart is with Japan right now through this disaster and these hardships. I genuinely don't think right now would be appropriate timing for me to perform in Japan given the content and the spirit of my show, which is all about feeling exuberant, rowdy, and wild. I plan to bring my party there and to that part of the world when we are all ready to dance and Get $leazy together again. In the meantime I am going to do everything I can to help relief efforts and I encourage everyone in the world to do the same."

Ke$ha and Creativeman Productions plan on rescheduling the tour once the country gets back on its feet. If you'd like to help the Japan earthquake relief efforts, you can donate through the Red Cross.

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna’s ‘Fly’ Video to Take Off Memorial Day Weekend

There’s been a flight delay. Nicki Minaj and Rihanna fans will have to wait a little longer to see the visuals for the ladies’ collaboration “Fly.” The video won’t make its debut until Memory Day weekend. Nicki explains why.

Since both women dropped their albums in November, the Young Money rapper wants to wait and let Rihanna continue to shine before premiering the “Fly” video in late May.

“I’m gonna hold off on the Rihanna video and the Rihanna single for a little bit longer,” she told MTV News. “‘Cause we both kind of dropped at the same time. So she has a lot of [songs] in rotation and I want to let her stuff have a moment and do its thing, dominate radio. [Instead], I wanted to come out with something more fun.”

When the Sanaa Hamri-directed clip does arrive, she promises big things. “The Rihanna video is a freakin’ epic movie and you know it’s been done for like a month, two months now—very long time,” she added. “Look for it around Memorial Day weekend.”

In the meantime, the head Barb will release the video for “Super Bass,” a single off the deluxe edition of Pink Friday. “I’m taking it back to a few things that I’ve done, it’s a lot more fun,” shared Nicki. “It will be my most fun video and my most carefree video, lots of eye candy and lots of beefcakes.”

Long-Lost Bowie Album Leaks Online

An decade-old, mostly-unreleased David Bowie album has leaked online.

Antiquiet reveals that an album which David Bowie put together around the turn of the decade, and went unreleased due to disputes with his record label, has appeared on the torrent sites.

The album was going to be called Toy, and was a revisiting of some of his lesser-known tracks, as well as new material.

Some of the tracks emerged on his 2002 comeback album Heathen or as b-sides.

‘Afraid’ was on both. ‘Uncle Floyd’ appeared as ‘Slip Away’, ‘You’ve Got A Habit Of Leaving’, ‘Shadow Man’ and ‘Baby Loves That Way’ appeared as b-sides ons ‘Slow Burn’ and ‘Everyone Says Hi', and ‘Conversation Piece’ appeared on the Deluxe Edition.

That said, there are still unheard Bowie songs on the 14-track, hour-long Toy which been leaked on torrent sites.

Tracklist is below.

Matthew Morrison and Gwyneth Paltrow to duet on his upcoming album

Matthew Morrison and Gwyneth Paltrow have already proven they have great onscreen chemistry as lovestruck teachers Will Schuester and Holly Holliday on Glee. (The actress pops up again on the April 19 episode.)

Now the pair are hoping that energy translates to the recording studio. EW has learned exclusively that Morrison and the Country Strong star will duet on his self-titled adult-contemporary album, scheduled to drop this May 10. Morrison asked Paltrow to sing on the album during her work on Glee, but admits the conversation was slightly awkward.

“The hardest part of doing this album was asking these people favors, like Elton [John] and her,” says the actor. “I’m so not that guy.” Luckily, choosing the song for their collaboration was much easier. The pair will be covering a tune very familiar to Morrison and his Glee fans: the classic “Over the Rainbow.” The actor auditioned for Glee with the song and performed it on the series’ season 1 finale. “People kind of know me for that song now,” says Morrison. “I wanted to do a duet with a female. I thought that was a good song to do, and we really did a different arrangement of it. It’s a lot of strings, and it’s beautiful.”

Ne-Yo: 'Rihanna has come a long way'

Ne-Yo has praised Rihanna, stating that her vocals have come a long way since she first started out.

The 'Beautiful Monster' star, who has worked with Rihanna on a number of tracks including 'Take A Bow' and 'Russian Roulette', was asked about the use of studio tricks on Rihanna's voice in the studio.

"I feel like Rihanna has definitely come a long way from when I first met her," he told That Grape Juice.

"She has grown as an artist and she has grown into a beautiful young woman. She is a very talented artist."

The singer-songwriter then went on to explain that there is "room for improvement" in everyone, including himself.

"I feel like every song that she does and every album that she does she's going to keep getting better and better," he said. "She is still very much a student of this art and that's how I know she's going to be around for a while."

Ne-Yo previously described the use of auto-tune as "cheating".

Lady Gaga Wraps Up Born This Way, Plans Tour

Over the weekend, Lady Gaga tweeted that her May release, Born This Way, was nearly complete. "In Nebraska, finishing up record today," she wrote. "I'm so proud of the album: I keep dancing+drinking: metal/techno rock journey of a woman on the run."

Now, with eight weeks left until it officially drops, Gaga's creative director, Laurieann Gibson, revealed that this album will have the Little Monsters going, well, gaga.

"This new album is spectacular," Gibson told MTV News. "And I got to tell you, you got to really stand by and take notice, 'cause the album is excellent. It's of such excellence that I think that everyone's going to be really impressed and affected."

The first single from the album, the title track, has sat at the top of the charts for weeks, and as Gaga readies the release of a second single, the RedOne-produced "Judas," Gibson said it's just the beginning.

"The records are so visual and large and the concept of birthing has so many levels to it and the dance is never limited, that you're just gonna keep seeing an extension of this story," she explained. "And hopefully [we] get humanity to a place where we can effect change."

With the album basically done, plans for the tour are under way. "We did a theater in an arena and it worked [for the Monster Ball Tour]. ... How do we take it to the next level?" Gibson teased of Gaga's next outing.

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow signs with Atlantic Records

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who played a country singer in the film "Country Strong," has signed a deal with Atlantic Records, The Wrap reported Tuesday.

The financial terms of the deal were not released, but it is believed that Paltrow's deal is worth $900,000. The label said her debut album is due later this year.

Paltrow, 38, is married to Chris Martin, lead singer of Coldplay, who are signed to EMI.

She recently showed off her singing skills on "Glee," at the Country Music Awards, at the Grammys -- where she writhed in a tight black bodysuit on a baby grand piano to perform "Forget You" with Cee Lo Green -- and at the Oscars, where she performed the nominated song "Coming Home."

A source told the New York Post that people who have heard Paltrow's music described it as "country pop."

Atlantic's roster includes Sean Paul, B.o.B, T.I., James Blunt, Janelle Monae, Zero 7, Phil Collins and Kid Rock.

Paltrow returns to "Glee" on Tuesday night to reprise her role of substitute teacher Holly Holiday. Songs planned for the episode include Prince's "Kiss," Joan Jett's "Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)" and Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide."

Britney Spears On Her New Album, Her Favorite Music and Working With will.i.am

Do your kids like the new record? What have they said about it?
Yes. They definitely dance to it but its kind of funny because they are still confused .... It’s like, ‘who is this Britney Spears singer in contrast to mommy?’

How has your involvement in the record-making process changed over the years?
I have always been heavily involved in every album I have ever made. I'm very stubborn when it comes to recording and will only record songs I love, which is why it takes me a long time to make an album. I have to feel connected before I record and the song has to spark something inside me. Very few songs do that. I guess it's a good process because I love all of my music. I know there are a lot of artists that hate songs they recorded. I don’t feel that way.

Mariah Carey Set To Return To Sony Music In 2012

LA Reid and Doug Morris aren’t the only power players leaving the Universal Music Group for Sony Music. In what is possibly one of the most shocking moves in music since Janet Jackson parted ways with Island Def Jam, Mariah Carey will also be leaving UMG to return to Sony.

Carey, who became the best-selling act on Columbia Records in less than 8 years, left Sony in 2000 following her tumultuous divorce from the company’s then head Tommy Mottola and signed a record-setting yet short-lived $80 million deal with Virgin Records. She then joined UMG in 2002 after the failure of her ‘Glitter’ movie and soundtrack which led Virgin to buy out her contract for over $28 million.

The diva has only 1 album left to deliver for UMG and will reportedly release the project by the end of this year. Other records Carey put forward while signed to the company include the 6x platinum ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ which was co-executive produced by Reid.

His letter sent to his staff started off with a quote from Colin Powell: “Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through
argument, debate and doubt, to offer a solution everybody can understand.”

And here’s the rest of L.A.’s letter as obtained by JustJared.com:

“To my Island Def Jam family: After much consideration, I have decided to leave my position as Chairman of the Island Def Jam Music Group.

“I have always thrived on growth and the next great challenge, and I look forward with much enthusiasm to what the future holds.

“I am extremely proud of our beautiful roster and all we have accomplished in my seven years with IDJ. We continue to have incredible success together with today’s most phenomenal superstars - Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey (she reportedly will follow L.A.), Kanye West, Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, The Killers, The-Dream, Chrisette Michele, Jeezy and Ludacris to name a few.

“I want to thank all of you for your amazing contributions.

“With Warm Regards -

Yesterday, it was announced that L.A. would be joining the judging panel on The X-Factor - his leaving Def Jam early frees up his schedule to join Simon Cowell’s show!

Katy Perry's mother writes book

Katy Perry's preacher mother, Mary Perry Hudson, is shopping a book about how her pop-star daughter has impacted her Christian ministry, and admits that while she's proud of Katy, she "disagrees with a lot of choices she makes in her career."

Hudson shopped the proposal, seen by Page Six, to New York's literary agents hoping to land a publishing deal. "This memoir is her story, in her own words. Mary and Keith Hudson have been Christian Evangelists long before the world every heard of Katy Perry," the proposal begins.

Following her debut single, "Ur So Gay," the raunchy singer's career took off with her smash hit "I Kissed a Girl." She flaunted bust-bearing outfits and sexy bad-boy husband Russell Brand while comparing her upbringing to "Jesus Camp" and recalling speaking in tongues and channeling messages from God. Perry admitted kissing girls before marrying confessed sex-addict Brand.

Perry told Rolling Stone last year, "Speaking in tongues is as normal to me as 'Pass the salt' . . . It's a secret, direct prayer language to God. My dad speaks in tongues and my mom interprets it . . . I wasn't ever able to say I was lucky because my mother would rather us say that we were blessed. Deviled eggs were called 'angeled' eggs."

Her mother's proposal states: "Amid a torrent of negative reports from tabloid magazines and entertainment shows, Mary Hudson wants to tell 'her story' and dispel a lot of rumors. Katy's success has impacted her ministry in both negative and positive ways.

"She loves her daughter very much and is very proud of her accomplishments, but disagrees with a lot of choices she makes in her career. This memoir is to set the record straight. It is not Christian proselytizing or a Katy Perry tell-all. It is the story of Mary Perry Hudson."

Co-writer T.L. Gray told us, "We currently have interest from a couple of different agencies, but have not signed with anyone . . . Mary also just completed a Christian book called 'Joyful Mother' that will be released soon from Destiny Image . . . we've been playing around with a few different titles." A rep for Perry didn't get back to us.

Rolling Stone reviews Rebecca Black's "Friday"

Rebecca Black's "Friday," a song and music video produced by the Los Angeles company Ark Music Factory, has gone viral over the past few days, bubbling up from Tumblr and Twitter to become one of 2011's fastest-growing memes. The clip has already been parodied, covered and remixed many times over, and will likely inspire further variations as it spreads throughout internet communities and pop culture. The fascination with the video mainly comes down to its subpar production values, grating hooks and extraordinarily stupid lyrics. (This is a song that makes a point of explaining the sequence of days in the week.)

But there's something else going on here, something that makes "Friday" uniquely compelling. After all, there's no shortage of insipid failed pop music out there, and Ark Music Factory is responsible for many other music videos by young unknowns that are just as cringe-inducing, if not much worse. When you see this video, you immediately notice everything that it does "wrong," but it actually gets a lot of things about pop music right, if just by accident.

For one thing, Black's voice is totally bizarre. It's not just the processing on her vocals – she has a peculiar tonality that inadvertently highlights the absurdity of boilerplate pop lyrics that may not seem as ridiculous if, say, Katy Perry was singing instead. When she sings the "Friday, Friday" hook or the "fun fun fun fun" refrain, she sounds unlike anything else in pop music. Perhaps the closest comparison is Laraine Newman in Saturday Night Live's Coneheads sketches – pinched and stilted, like an alien attempting to pass an average American girl. Obviously, this isn't the most pleasant sound in the world, but Black comes out sounding like a distinct singer with an alluring sort of anti-charisma.

With a voice as strange as this, Black probably doesn't belong in the world's most generic modern pop song, but here she is. "Friday" is exactly what you expect from teen-oriented pop in 2011, from the sing-song melodies on down to a guest spot from an anonymous rapper who's only tangentially related to the rest of the song. If the video was intended to be a parody of teen pop convention, it would be on par with some of the best SNL Digital Shorts by Lonely Island.

And thus Black and Ark Music Factory have made a video that forces its audience to reckon with a particular formula for pop music. It's not as if any of this was ever actually cool, but suddenly it seems as if any legit pop singer goes anywhere near the vibe of "Friday," it will just seem like a joke.

Rolling Stone reviews Britney Spears' "Femme Fatale"

Britney Spears is pop music's stealth avant-gardist. For years, critics have dismissed her as a cipher with a wisp of a voice. But from the minute she burst on the scene — heralded by the keyboard power chords of ". . . Baby One More Time" — her music has steered bubblegum into weirder, woollier territory. "Toxic" was a mélange of Bollywood and spy-movie guitar; "Piece of Me" was an essay on 21st-century tabloid infamy crooned over 22nd-century club rhythms. Then there's this year's "Hold It Against Me," which dissolves into a furious dubstep breakdown — easily the most assaultive beat on the Hot 100 right now.

Femme Fatale may be Britney's best album; certainly it's her strangest. Conceptually it's straightforward: a party record packed with sex and sadness. Max Martin and Dr. Luke, the world's two biggest hitmakers, are responsible for seven of 12 songs: big melodies and bigger Eurodisco thumps. But other producers go nuts, tossing the kitchen sink at Britney. The Bloodshy-helmed "How I Roll" is sputtering, oddly beautiful techno. In "Big Fat Bass," Will.i.am turns Britney into a cyborg obsessed with low-end. ("The bass is getting bigger!" she exults.) On nearly every track, Britney's voice is twisted, shredded, processed, roboticized. Maybe this is because she doesn't have much of a voice; it's certainly because she, more than almost any other pop diva, is simply game. Femme fatale? Not so much. But say this for Britney: She's an adventuress.

Beyonce’s new single to be released in April?

One of the Beyonce World visitors had a chance to talk with music producer Robert ‘Shea’ Taylor, who previously worked with Beyonce during B’Day. Apparently he also signed up for Beyonce’s upcoming album and he had a few interesting things to share:

* Her music is pop with a little bit of rnb, but more “musical”.

* It has an 80s feel to it but made modern.

* It’s like michael jacksons music during his prime (thats what the album is gonna be like).

* She has a song with Kanye West that’s suppose to be Amazing.

* Her first single is huge and will premiere at the end of April.

Coldplay album delayed

Coldplay fans will have to wait a little longer for the band's next album.

Originally the fifth Coldplay album was expected around May /June but coldplaying.com has revealed that it has now been pushed back to October.

Coldplay's 'official leak' locust7 revealed at coldplaying.com, ' can confirm the change of plans in the Coldplay camp regarding the schedule of the release of LP5, originally before summer. Hope people can wait until October. Everybody who guessed October as the month of release deserves a prize'.

Coldplay are booked to headline 15 festivals including Glastonbury and T In The Park before October so it sounds like there will be no new material in the setlist either until after the release of the album.

Coldplay have been working on a 5th album since December 2009. In June 2010 it was announced at their website that it was nearly finished. However, the only new music we heard from Coldplay last year was the Christmas song 'Christmas Lights'.

Two song titles have been announced. 'Princess of China' and 'Every Teardrop Is A Waterwall' are expected to make the new release.

The last Coldplay album was 'Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends' in 2008. There was also the 'Prospekt's March' EP released in 2009.

Nicole Scherzinger unveils album details

Nicole Scherzinger has announced details of her debut album.

The singer, who officially quit the Pussycat Dolls in December last year, will release Killer Love on March 20.

The star recorded the LP - whose artwork appears on the right - in New York and LA in between her filming commitments for Men In Black 3.

"This album is fun and dangerous, soulful and with attitude!" Scherzinger said in a press release. "Music that you can rock out to, dance around, sing and feel good to. It means everything. It's what I've been working up to for my whole life."

The record's first single 'Poison' peaked at number three in the UK, while its follow-up 'Don't Hold Your Breath' is out a week prior to the album's release.

The release marks Scherzinger's second attempt at solo stardom, after 2007's Her Name Is Nicole was eventually cancelled.

The tracklisting for Killer Love appears below:

1. 'Poison'
2. 'Killer Love'
3. 'Don't Hold Your Breath'
