If you weren’t able to get your hands on tickets for this Sunday’s GMA show, we’ve got some good news. Sources are telling us that Spears has scheduled another performance in the Bay Area!
Sources say that Britney has already scheduled another concert date in the Bay Area as part of an all out tour in support of her album Femme Fatale. The exact date has not been released, however, they assure us that you don’t want to miss this next tour date. She’ll be hitting the road with a very high-profile co-headliner. All the info is expected to be announced very soon. We’ll have the information for you first, as soon as it is released.
Hogg & Pease speculate on the potential coheadliner below.
Justin Timberlake/NSYNC
A long shot for sure, considering NSYNC has been done with for years and Justin Timberlake has failed to release a CD in nearly five years. However, NSYNC members (minus Timberlake) have expressed interest in reuniting the boy band and reports have spread saying Timberlake is in the studio for a new album.
Lady Gaga
With both Gaga and Spears expressing love for each other - Gaga called Spears the Queen of Pop before her career took off - and with both of them having CDs to promote, a coheadlining tour from them would not be too hard to imagine. However, the universe would likely implode on itself.
Madonna
Spears has frequently cited Madonna as an inspiration and the model for her own career, and the two pop divas collaborated on the hit "Me Against the Music" in 2003.
Christina Aguilera
The two former teen idols have often been compared, both being blonde former Mouseketeers who debuted at around the same time - Spears with "...One More Time" and Aguilera with "Genie in a Bottle". Allegations of feuding have often occurred between the two, which was referenced in the opening track of Aguilera'sAguilera often switches her style up, so who knows. 2002 album "Stripped". The two have very different musical styles - although
Rihanna
Spears recently admitted that the Barbadian beauty's "S&M" is one of her favorite songs, and with Rihanna on tour and Spears with an album to promote, a collaboration is not too far fetched.
Black Eyed Peas/will.i.am
Spears recently said that she loves the Black Eyed Peas and collaborated with will.i.am for the track "Big Fat Bass" on her new CD. However, the Peas already have their tour scheduled, with the first leg in Europe, followed later by a North American tour.
Janet Jackson
Often in contest for the Queen of Pop title, the two share a connection through Janet's late brother, who had performed with Spears previously and was a fan.
Chris Brown, Ciara, or Jordin Sparks
Currently Spears' labelmates, none of the above have the power to sellout without another name - Brown due to a incident in 2009 where he brutally beat pop singer Rihanna and numerous other incidents of anger, from mocking a molestation victim on Twitter to throwing a chair at a window. Ciara and Jordin Sparks suffer from a lack of relevance.
The cast of Glee
Spears recently guest starred on an episode of Glee featuring some of her hits, although a coheadlining tour like this is near implausible.
Ke$ha
Ke$ha recently wrote Spears' "Till the World Ends", saying that she imagined her (Spears) and any female musician touring the world. A coheadlining tour between the two would not be hard to imagine.
Nicole Scherzinger
The Pussycats Dolls, fronted by Scherzinger, were the supporting act for Spears' The Circus Tour in 2009. With the band disbanded, Scherzinger began anew as a solo artist. However, her album Killer Love has only been announced overseas. With little support in North America, a Spears/Scherzinger tour would be a little far-fetched.
