We finally surpass absolute mediocrity and pass into terribly horrible now.
#8 - Black Eyed Peas - "Imma Be"
Coming in at number twenty on the Billboard Top 100, we make the assumption that this song was played over and over again because people thought they were mistaking what the song's lyrics actually are for "I'm a bee". Please, Fergie, will.i.am, and you other two, make a complete sentence before you make an even bigger joke of yourselves.
As much as we complained about how annoying the choruses on our previous two picks were, this one is far worse. If you make it through to the end of the song you will have heard the phrase "imma be" one-hundred and six times, and that's not counting phrases like "imma imma imma...".
Sure, the song has verses. They're just as stupid. Do we even have to mention will.i.am's line about being a sperm bank (which is a terrible metaphor for what will.i.am was implying - men put sperm into sperm banks, after all.)
The beat's boring, the norm from things coming from will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas.
Towards the end of the song, the beat and the song get marginally better - unfortunately, there's still a barrage of "Imma be"s in it.
