Lindsay Lohan just had a new song written for her - by her estranged father, no less. Michael Lohan hired R&B singer Delious Kennedy, a member of Grammy-winning group All-4-One, to write and perform a tune specifically dedicated to his troubled daughter, who's currently in rehab.
Now, if that’s not a special gift that will keep on giving!
Michael said that the song is a companion piece to Lindsay Lohan’s “Confessions of a Broken Heart (Daughter to Father)” from 2005 and that it’s about a “talented and beautiful young lady who has grown in our hearts...She is badgered by paparazzi, cut down by the media…She will wilt, but when she falls, I will always be there to pick her up and put her petals back on.”
Michael Lohan has song written about Lindsay LohanGiven Michael’s sappy floral analogy, it’s no surprise the song has been christened “My Rose.” But, don’t expect a sentimental, syrupy-sounding ballad. Rather, it’s a club track with a dance vibe in the style of Usher or Lady Gaga, according to Kennedy, who recorded the song last week and played it for Michael Lohan last night.
The verdict? Success! Apparently, Michael loved it.
And, why wouldn’t he with a catchy chorus like this: “The girl is like a rose garden. She falls back, springs forth and grows stronger with thorns.”
LiLo, a.k.a. the “rose”! Hopefully, Lindsay Lohan takes fondly to her father’s newest unusual show of affection.
