Katy Perry is set to take a one year break from her music career in order to start a family with husband Russell Brand, according to reports.
The pop star is currently on the final leg of her American Dreams world tour, which comes to an end on November 23 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. She has apparently told her management company that after the tour she’ll be stepping out of the limelight for a while.
The New York Post writes that:
Katy Perry is taking time off to work on her family… She informed her managers that after that, she'll take a year off to spend time with husband Russell Brand and to start a family.
Music-news.com also reports that Perry recently told US chat show host Ellen DeGeneres that she can’t wait to have babies.
“Yeah, I would love to have children,” said the ‘California Gurls’ singer, adding: “I think that's one of the reasons you get married, especially to the person that you marry. You think, 'That person is going to be a good partner, a good parent'… If it doesn't hurt the first time. I'll keep popping them out.”
