Madonna set to play Olympics gig?
Madonna is to play a huge concert in London next year to coincide with the 2012 Olympics.
The 53-year-old singer will perform to 60,000 fans in Hyde Park next July when the UK capital will host the prestigious sporting event.
A source close to the ‘Hung Up’ hitmaker – who recently took a break from music to direct new movie ‘W.E’ – told The Sun newspaper: “Madonna is planning a huge comeback and was determined to do it at Hyde Park while the Olympics are on.
“She’s been out of the limelight musically for a while but is ready to jump back into the saddle and thinks there’s no better time to do it than when London hosts the Olympics.”
Earlier this week, it was also revealed Madonna is to perform at next February’s Super Bowl.
In headlining the prestigious sporting event, Madonna is following in the footsteps of stars including the Rolling Stones, Black Eyed Peas, Justin Timberlake and the late Michael Jackson.

Adele: "I'd love to collaborate with Mumford And Sons"
Adele has revealed that she wants to collaborate with Mumford and Sons frontman Marcus Mumford.
The singer said that working alongside the folk star would be the perfect team-up. She told The Sun:
"In terms of singing on a track alongside someone, I'd love to collaborate with Mumford and Sons because Marcus Mumford's voice goes straight through me. It reminds me of the first time that I heard Etta James and how that made me feel."
Adele also said she had a soft spot for Justin Bieber adding that: "If I was 14 or 15 I think I would be well on it. I'd get on it."
The singer has been dogged by illnesses this year with her most recent haemorrhage in her vocal cords forcing her to cancel her US tour earlier this month. She has since drafted in a vocal therapist to help repair her voice.
"My vocal therapist is amazing – she looks like a Brazilian Shirley Bassey – but she's given me all of these new exercises," Adele added.
"Now I have to sing my songs through a straw to get my diaphragm going. I have to do all of these facial movements to get my face going and it makes me look butt ugly because my whole face vibrates. But the worst thing is that I've got this massive thing that looks like a sex toy and I've got to stick it into a bottle of water and blow. It's awful."

Adele is to release a live album and DVD featuring her performance at the Royal Albert Hall last month.
The entire 90-minute concert at the prestigious venue will feature on the Live at the Royal Albert Hall CD and DVD collection as well as tracks from the singer's two wildly popular albums, renditions of Bonnie Raitt's I Can't Make You Love Me and If It Hadn't Been for Love by the Steeldrivers will be featured.
Behind-the-scenes footage shot throughout the day of the concert on the DVD will make for an extra treat for fans.
The director behind the film is Paul Dugdale, who has worked with acts including Florence and the Machine and The Prodigy in the past.
Adele fans keen to get their hands on the new offering will have to wait until the release date on November 28th, but it can be ordered in advance from the singer's official website.
The DVD and CD combo may go some way to satisfy the unlucky US fans, who missed out on their chance to see the soulful songstress after she cancelled her tour of the States due to illness earlier this month.
On October 4th she wrote on her blog: 'Guys, im heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again im experiencing problems with my voice. its ridiculous i know! i cant believe it myself.' (sic)

Taylor Swift Reveals She Has 25 Songs Recorded For Next Album
With a year to go before Taylor Swift expects to put a new album in stores, the singer says she’s already recorded enough tunes to fill a double disc CD. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest Thursday morning, Swift revealed that she’s been writing and recording since her last album ‘Speak Now’ was released.
“I’ve recorded 25 so far, and we have a year to go,” Swift said. While most of the material on ‘Speak Now’ came within six months of the album’s completion, the singer says she’s been active for over a year. Many of the songs were written on her own, just a girl and her guitar with pen and paper at three o’clock in the morning.
Two weeks ago, an article in the New Yorker shared that Swift hasn’t been happy lately. When asked about the songs she’d written for the new album, she said, “They’re sad? If I’m being honest.” The most recent one, she revealed, “is about moving on.” There’s speculation that Swift has gone through a tough breakup this summer.

Drake won’t be celebrating his album release on his birthday after all. The hip-hop superstar has delayed the release of his sophomore album Take Care from October 24 to November 15. In a message posted on his OVO blog, Drizzy explained the reason for the pushback, saying that he is having difficulty clearing three samples in time.
“My options were to take the songs off and make the birthday release happen, or to take an extra couple weeks to get the paper work right and give you the album they way I NEED you to hear it,” he wrote.
The follow-up to Thank Me Later will arrive in the form he intended instead of being rushed to make the date. He has subsequently moved his “Club Paradise” tour to next year. Dates will be announced in the coming week.

Adam Levine Talks Possible Demi Lovato Teamup
Offering up details about a super-exciting rumored collaboration among other musical topics, Maroon 5's Adam Levine phoned into "On Air with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday (October 5).
Having just come off massive success on "The Voice," the superstar co-judge told Ryan he wasn't always too sure about the gig, “I was very skeptical, kind of about doing it because I wasn’t sure what the perception would be. I wasn’t sure if there would be any chemistry at all between us on the show, the people on the show. I wasn’t totally sure about anything, but I am a fan of taking risks.”
Despite his hesitance with the show, there is one thing Adam seems to always know for sure - a hit when he hears it, as he explained, “With Jagger I knew [it would be hit]. I’ve only had that feeling twice. The only other time I knew was ‘She Will Be Loved.’ I knew that would be a number one hit.”
As for his much-talked about collaboration with "Skyscraper" songstress Demi Lovato, Levine teased, “I’m always open to stuff. We’re going to try to do it less, to be honest, on this record because we want to do something different. But I think that it’s just this circumstantial thing.”
