Bonnaroo 2011 lineup features Eminem, Arcade Fire, more

If you enjoyed the musicians you saw on Sunday’s Grammy Awards show, you’ll see plenty of comfortingly familiar names on the lineup for this year’s Bonnaroo music and arts festival — and if you didn’t, well, you’ll still have lots of other acts to choose from. Eminem, the rejuvenated rapper who suddenly seems to be everywhere these days, will be among the headliners at this year’s festival, which runs from June 9 through 12 in Manchester, Tenn., its organizers said on Tuesday. And whether or not the Internet knows who they are, the Canadian indie rockers of Arcade Fire, who surprised some with their album of the year win for “The Suburbs,” are also at the top of the bill. Other top acts include the reconstituted Buffalo Springfield (featuring Neil Young, Stephen Stills, Richie Furay, Rick Rosas and Joe Vitale); the roots rock bands Widespread Panic, My Morning Jacket and String Cheese Incident; the Grammy-anointed blues rockers the Black Keys; Mumford & Sons, which shared the Grammys stage with Bob Dylan; indie rock acts the Strokes and the Decemberists; and the never-not-interesting rapper Lil Wayne. The bill will also feature Dr. John and the Original Meters performing “Desitively Bonnaroo,” the 1974 album from which the festival takes its name; and the Global Gypsy Punk Revue, a special stage curated by Eugene Hütz, whose band Gogol Bordello is also performing at the festival.
