Will.I.Am Is Cheryl Cole's New Manager
Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.AM is helping British beauty Cheryl Cole launch her U.S. pop career by officially taking over as her manager.
The Girls Aloud singer has moved to Los Angeles to become a judge on the U.S. version of Simon Cowell's reality show The X Factor and will.i.am admits he will be advising her as she plans her assault on the American charts.
Cole has parted ways with her longtime manager Hilary Shaw to work with the rapper.
When asked about managing Cole, will.i.am confirms to Britain's News of the World, "Yeah, we're doing it now. She's great. America's going to go mad for her just like you guys are mad for her here (in Britain)."
Cole and will.i.am appear to have found winning chemistry together - they previously collaborated on his hit Heartbreaker as well as tracks for her debut solo album, 3 Words, in 2009.

Kelly Rowland Responds to Beyonce Comparisons
As Kelly Rowland preps for the release of her third solo album, the former Destiny's Child singer is tired of talking about one subject: Beyonce. Rowland, who has long looked at her one-time group member as a sister, is not fond of the press pitting the two against each other, and even more enraged that someone consistently gets overlooked.
"What pisses me off the most is the fact that they leave Michelle [Williams] out," Kelly Rowland tells the BoomBox. "Michelle is such a huge part of Destiny's Child. It's very disrespectful in that sense, its three members of Destiny's Child, not two."
Since going their separate ways, all three DC members have focused on solo careers. While Beyonce is the most commercially successful, Rowland has garnered a few notable hits in her own right. Her latest, 'Motivation' featuring Lil Wayne, has received solid buzz, and sits at No. 33 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
Rowland was originally rumored to be putting out a dance-themed album but as she got to work on her latest LP, 'Here I Am,' the Texas native was more focused on the content of the project versus the genre.
"At one point in time everybody was like, 'You should be this, you should be that.' For a second I was like 'F it all! How do I feel?' I just started recording and everything that I started recording fell in the same line and the same pocket. 'Motivation' came about and I was like, 'Oh my God! I want my fans to hear this!' Then other songs started to come and I was working with Tricky [Stewart] and RodneyJerkins [Jerkins] and all these people, everything fell into place. I didn't allow anybody to categorize me at the final process of this record. Nobody puts Kelly in the corner!
"I just wanted other people to know 'here I am,' period. Nobody judging, nobody dictates where I go or what I do. It's me as a person and as a woman. It feels good to be in that space and I just wanted to share that on the record."
In the coming weeks the Grammy winner will drop her next single, which she is keeping under wraps. 'Here I Am' will be released this fall.

Nicole Scherzinger Sets Date for U.S. Debut
After a few false starts, Nicole Scherzinger is ready to conquer America alone. The former Pussycat Doll has announced a release date for her U.S. solo debut.
Killer Love, which is currently available in the U.K., will arrive stateside on August 16, Interscope Records has announced. It is led by the 50 Cent-assisted single “Right There” and will feature her U.K. singles “Poison” and “Don’t Hold Your Breath,” along with four to five new songs including a collaboration with R. Kelly and Snoop Dogg called “Peep Show.”
“At the time I was doing my U.K. album, I was really into more dance-inspired music, which is amazing and so much fun for Europe,” Nicole told Rap-Up.com. “For the U.S., I wanted to go back to my roots where I started, a little bit more urban sounding ’cause that’s still a very big part of me as well, and I wanted to make sure I wove that into the album.”
Nicole will perform the Jim Jonsin-produced “Right There” with 50 Cent on the May 19 episode of “American Idol” and co-host Simon Cowell’s singing competition “The X Factor” this fall.

Beyonce '4' Album Preview
Beyonce held a preview listening party for her upcoming album, 4, at the NYC offices of Sony Music on Wednesday afternoon (May 11).
About a dozen of her super fans watched the “Run The World (Girls)” video in a conference room before the 29-year-old global superstar came in and surprised everyone, shaking hands and hugging every single person in the room.
“When editing the DVD [for Beyonce: I Am... World Tour], I noticed that the tone of my voice is different live [than my recording one],” Beyonce told JustJared.com as she addressed the room. “So I used that live performance tone throughout the record.”
B then sat down, grabbed a bottle of Pellegrino sparkling water, and played five new tracks for the room.
“I wanted to do something refreshing and different,” Beyonce told JustJared.com. “So I mixed genres and drew inspiration from touring, traveling, watching rock bands, and attending festivals… I was like a mad scientist, putting lots of different songs together.”
Nicki Minaj and David Guetta want Adele collaborations
Nicki Minaj wants to collaborate with Adele.
"There are loads of UK artists I'd like to work with,” the Young Money star told The Sun, before singling out Adele, who has just topped the US singles chart with Rolling In The Deep. “I think Adele is dope, I'm a really big fan of hers. I'm sure we'll meet eventually,” she said.
Nicki added that working with David Guetta on Where Dem Girls At has inspired her to branch out into other genres. “Everyone keeps telling me that I need to rap on some dubstep beats,” she explained, “so that is definitely a possibility too. After working with David I'm getting into a different world.”
The Pink Friday rapper has also been trying to perfect her cockney accent in preparation for spending more time on these shores. "I just love the way you guys talk. It's so funny and beautiful to me so I've been brushing up on my accent."

Fleetwood Mac to reunite in 2012
Steve Nicks has said that Fleetwood Mac will reunite next year.
The singer has just released a new solo album In Your Dreams, on which she worked with ex-Eurythmic Dave Stewart, her first since 2001's Trouble in Shangri-La. But she has revealed that plans are already in place for the band to regroup in 2012, and possibly even make a new album, after she and Lindsey Buckingham finish promoting their solo work.
She told US blogger Perez Hilton: "When my album and Lindsey's albums come to a stop, then Fleetwood Mac will gather again and we'll either make another record or we won't and we'll just go on tour." It has been eight years since their last album, Say You Will.
Buckingham's LP Seeds We Sow is due this autumn. Nicks said it is her favourite solo album by her bandmate. "He took some serious melody pills on this one," she added.
She also said her favourite song of the moment is ET by Katy Perry. "I will stay up until 4am to see the video," she said. Meanwhile, Fleetwood Mac are the next artists to get the Glee treatment with Rumours, an episode dedicated to them, to be broadcast in the UK soon. Gwyneth Paltrow covered their song Landslide in a recent episode.
