Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" to feature on Glee

Lady Gaga just this week gave the Glee producers clearance for tackling her highly anticipated new single, “Born This Way,” which hasn’t even dropped yet! Murphy reveals that the song will be used in a March or April episode and will be centered around closeted gay bully Karofsky (Max Adler). “I love that that song is anthem,” says Murphy. “This show is by nature optimistic and I think a character like Karofsky could turn to booze or pills or alcohol and kill themselves or do something dark. But I also love Max and I love that character and I sorta want that character to have a happy ending. So I don’t really know what that’s going to be, but I do know we’re going to do a whole episode that’s about that song.”

"Glee" to do Justin Bieber

Heads up, Twitter: You’re seconds away from exploding. Sources confirm to me exclusively that Glee is doing a February sweeps episode that’s Justin Biebercentric.

Details are still sketchy, but I’m told the episode — tentatively scheduled to air on Feb. 15 — will feature the cast covering several of the teen phenom’s songs. Bieber himself will also figure into the episode’s plot, although there are no plans for him to appear in the flesh. At least not as of this writing.

This is shaping up to be a big February for Fox’s musicomedy smash, beginning with its post-Super Bowl entry on February 6, continuing two days later with the big Valentine’s episode and now, of course, The Biebs.

Nas signs to Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Friday label

Rumour has it that Nasir Jones better known as NaS will be heading over to Kanye’s label G.O.O.D Music. Word is that NaS has no plans to release another album on Def Jam and that ever anticipated Lost Tapes will be a bonus CD. Wow, talk about left field.

In other news, NaS caught a break with his ex wife Kelis according to AHH and TMZ.

Rapper Nas caught a break in Los Angeles County Superior Court recently, when a judge agreed to cut his child and spousal support in half.

In December of 2010, a judge ordered the rapper to pay Kelis $40,00 per month in spousal support, in addition to the $10,000 per month for their child, Knight.

According to TMZ.com a Los Angeles superior court judge cut this child support in half, leaving the rap star with a bill of around $5,000 per month.

Additionally, the spousal support payments have also been sliced, leaving Nas with a $20,000 per month payment due to Kelis.

Nas and Kelis officially divorced in May of 2010, citing irreconcilable differences.

New Britney Spears info, single cover, etc.

It’s been over two years since Britney Spears released her sixth studio album Circus, and with the welcoming of 2011, the reigning princess of pop is set to take back the music scene. Tuesday, Spears is set to release her first single “Hold It Against Me” from her forthcoming album slated to hit stores and iTunes in March.

Spears’ managers Larry Rudolph and Adam Leber gave Ryan a first listen to the high-energy single on Thursday, which blew away the demo that leaked online earlier this morning. Leber played the song off of his trusted iPod Classic in Ryan’s radio studio (see photo below). Britney’s managing team also played a second song for Ryan, “I I I Wanna Go” another powerhouse single from the new album.

Rudolph and Leber explained to Ryan that the creative process for “Hold It Against Me” music video is well underway and are nothing short of spectacular. Spears has been rehearsing choreography for the video for a month now, and will shoot in two weeks.

Check back to RyanSeacrest.com Tuesday for the premiere of “Hold It Against Me”!

Usher Explores ‘Revolutionary’ New Sound

Usher’s ready to start a revolution. The “OMG” singer, who is currently in the early stages of recording his next LP, is setting out to create a new genre of music on the follow-up to last year’s Raymond v. Raymond. Instead of dipping into Euro-pop like he did in 2010, Ursh is planning on making an album’s worth of “Revolutionary Pop.”

“I’m a consumer of culture and love mixing styles and inspirations, both in my music and my style,” the superstar told StyleList. “I’m working on a new genre of music—Revolutionary Pop—which combines several music genres to create a new sound experience.”

His fauxhawk also reflects the style of music he wants to develop with his seventh studio album. “I love that people are talking about the new hair, it represents who I am now and the creative movement of Revolutionary Pop,” he stated.

Though details are scarce surrounding the new project, Usher will be teaming back up with songwriter Rico Love, who penned his recent hits “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home)” and “There Goes My Baby.”
