Kemosabe will become Sony’s fourth label division, with Dr. Luke reporting directly to Mr. Morris. The label is expected to become operational in January, and Dr. Luke will have free rein to hire staff members and sign artists. One trade-off: because he can now produce only Sony artists, Dr. Luke will not be able to work with Ms. Perry, who records for EMI.

Big Time Rush & One Direction to tour together
Big Time Rush called in to “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” Wednesday to exclusively announce their first United States tour as headliners beginning in Las Vegas on February 17, 2012.
Big Time Rush announced they will be kicking off their first United States tour starting in Las Vegas on February 17th.
The ”‘Better With U Tour’ kicks off in Las Vegas on February 17. Then we go to the Gibson in Los Angeles the next day, and ending in Radio City in New York then Universal Studios. We’re stocked. We’ve been touring a lot doing fair dates this summer, but this is going to be our first real headlining ‘Big Time Rush’ tour! Fan club members will be able to get tickets as soon as Thursday, November 10 at 10 A.M. However tickets to the general public will be made available starting Saturday, November 19 at 10 A.M.

Kreayshawn Wants To Mix Genres On Her Debut
In between gigs on tour, Kreayshawn is squeezing in some studio time and looking to lock down the finishing touches on her still-in-the-works proper first album. After her mixtape Kittys x Choppas spawned the viral hit "Gucci Gucci," Kreay's fans have been wondering when she will put out more musical magic on her official debut album.
"I'm on tour right now, so we've been touring everywhere," she told MTV News about grinding out new music. "But we have almost half of the album done. As the artist, it's hard cause I'm like 'Oh, I want to rerecord it; oh I don’t like this.' So it's just all about being less crucial on yourself and putting things out."
The 22-year-old plans on including a melting pot of genres on the album since she doesn't want to be pigeon-holed. "Me, personally, I listen to a whole bunch of different genres of music, so my album is definitely going to have a whole bunch of different sounds for everyone to listen to," she explained. "And to open people up to other types of music. I'm not aiming towards like being all radio hits. I just want to put my message out there and spread new music."
So, will Kreayshawn hook up with anyone and get some features on the album? It seems unlikely and she has a very specific reason why. "I do have people I want to do features with," she said, adding this caveat, "I really want to keep the album, since it's my first album, I want to keep it about me and kind of about what my sound is and my family."
