The life of Tupac Shakur will soon makes its way onto the small screen thanks to a television mini-series created by friend of the rapper and producer/filmmaker Quincy Jones III.

Beyonce loses voice on TV special

R&B superstar Beyonce was forced to cut short a special TV concert taping on Thursday after she began losing her voice.

The singer began filming A Night With Beyonce at a London studio on Wednesday, belting out hits such as Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), Crazy In Love, Irreplaceable and Halo, as well as songs from her latest album 4.

She shot the second half of the hour-long show for U.K. network ITV on Thursday, performing new tracks including 1+1, Party and Run The World (Girls).

But she had to call time on the set after struggling to maintain her powerful voice towards the end of the gig, blaming her lack of rest, and apologised to fans in the audience for making Countdown her last song of the night.

Sources tell WENN she then enlisted the help of her devotees to sing the chorus, before exiting the stage to rousing applause and cheers.

Earlier in the day, Beyonce treated her waiting fans to free pizza to show her appreciation for their support. Attendees began lining up outside the studio doors hours before showtime to ensure they got prime seats for the intimate show.

A Night With Beyonce is due to air in the U.K. later this year.

The Brit chat show host, who took over from Larry King, has said that the 'Single Ladies' diva will be on the show for an hour and has agreed to spill the beans on everything, so no doubt will touch on her marriage to Jay-Z, relationship with her parents since the split and more. Talking about 'The Piers Morgan Tonight' exclusive, the chat show host said: "She's agreed to sit with me for the hour and talk about everything. She's beautiful, phenomenally talented, and at the top of her game."

"And even better, we're doing it in my hometown of London. She has a one-word name, a voice from the gods....and the single greatest 'booty' in showbiz history," he revealed. "Yep...Beyoncé. World exclusive, for the hour. That's why I'm excited."

Beyonce's interview be televised on June 27, the same day that Beyonce's new album '4' is released in the UK and a day before its release in the US.

Lance Bass Is Creating a Boy-Band Reality Contest Show

Lance Bass: reality producer extraordinaire. When we chatted with him at last night's Persol Magnificent Obsessions exhibition and party, he told us that he just sold six reality shows, including one to VH1. "It's a really great music show, starring all your favorite boy bands. It's going to be really fun," Bass says. "I got a member from Backstreet Boys, A.J. McLean. A member from *NSYNC, Joey Fatone. A member from New Kids on the Block, Joe McIntyre. And a member from New Edition, Bobby Brown. They're all going to form a boy band, each, from the most talented guys in America that I've scouted, and then they'll go head-to-head in a competition to see who the best band is, so it's bragging rights for the guy in the group, for sure." Well, almost: Bass admits that Brown hasn't officially signed on yet. "I think Bobby will do it," Bass says. "I think he'd love it."

Cher Lloyd album 'like Fergie's solo record'

Savan Kotecha has likened Cher Lloyd's debut album to that of Black Eyed Peas star Fergie's first solo record.

The songwriter is currently executive producing Lloyd's debut album, which is due to be released later this summer, after meeting the 17-year-old on The X Factor, where he served as the show's vocal producer.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Kotecha explained how he called upon his hitmaking friends RedOne and Max Martin to work on the record and give the album a plethora of different sounds.

"It's such a blend of different things. Each song is so different from the other, but it's her. The only way I can describe it is that it's like Fergie's solo album, where 'London Bridge' was completely different from 'Clumsy', but then you also had 'Big Girls Don't Cry', but Fergie was still the red thread throughout it all - that's how Cher's songs are," he revealed.

"There's some hard ones, some vulnerable ones and some fun, silly ones and she just delivers on every one. We were just so impressed."

When asked about the singing/rapping ratio on the record, Kotecha replied: "It's pretty split - I would say there's probably a little more singing than rapping. I don't want to give away too much about the first release, but that's going to be a mix of both.

"She's got so much personality in her voice and her delivery, so it's just fun music. Some stuff has her hard-act, cocky attitude, while some has her sweet side, because she has a lot of different sides to her."

It was recently reported that Lloyd has teamed up with US rapper Busta Rhymes for a track to be included on the album.

News broke last night that Justin Timberlake would be hosting the May 21 season finale of "Saturday Night Live" -- which is all kinds of awesome. But PopWrap has just learned that the episode is about to get even more epic because Lady GaGa will be the musical guest!

With her new CD, "Born This Way," dropping two days later, the timing could not be any more perfect. Although if we're being honest, a new GaGa release sort of transcends promotion, no?

Demi Lovato lined up for X Factor performance

Demi Lovato is set to mark her comeback with a performance on the US version of 'The X Factor'.

The 18-year-old star - who left rehab in January after seeking treatment for "emotional and physical issues" in November - is in talks with producers of the highly-anticipated TV talent show to perform on one of the live shows after a judging role was ruled out.

A source said: "She has, in fact, had meetings concerning the matter, but chances are very slim that she would be joining the cast as a judge. They think, because of her age, she might not be the right fit for a judge. But they have spoken about having Demi come on to perform during the season, and have discussed her having her comeback performance."

The show - created by Simon Cowell - is set to premiere in September and insiders believe this is perfect for Demi as it will give her the chance to put all her problems behind her and focus on her career.

Demi - who entered rehab after she allegedly punched a backing dancer - recently revealed she was excited about the prospect of returning to work.

In a video message thanking fans for their support, she said: "I wanted to let you guys know that I'm excited to get back to work and I can't wait to tell you what the future holds. I can't wait to see you guys in person and thank you all individually. I love you all and I couldn't have done this without you."

As season two moves ahead, fans are curious about what other songs will get a new interpretation by the cast of "Glee."

In some new music spoilers, posted today, we get a look ahead at what could be some pretty amazing covers.

In addition to Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, the show will reportedly feature songs by Taylor Swift and Ke$ha. According to the source, "Tik Tok" will be performed by the cast, but Taylor's song performance is still listed as "TBA."

'Glee' snub Eminem over high fee demands

Glee creator Ryan Murphy has revealed that he opted not to use one of Eminem's songs on the show due to the excessive fee demanded by the rapper.

According to NME, Eminem's record label asked for $200,000 for the use of one of his tracks in an upcoming episode of the series.

"We couldn't do it because the episode would've been so over-budget," Murphy said, after deciding to rework plans for the episode in question.

Earlier this week, Murphy engaged in a war of words with rock band Kings of Leon after they denied Murphy the use of their songs on the show.

Glee returns from its mid-season break in the US on February 6. The show continues in the UK on Mondays at 9pm on E4.

Slash Refuses to Allow Guns N' Roses Music on 'Glee'

Slash has told Entertainment Weekly that he rejected a request from the producers of Glee to use Guns N' Roses music in an episode of the series. His reasoning was pretty simple: He thinks the hit show is horrible.

"Glee is worse than Grease and Grease is bad enough," he told EW. "I look at Grease now and think, 'Between High School Musical and Glee, Grease was a work of art.'" So Slash is definitely not a fan of squeaky-clean singing teens.

The guitarist does not have a hardline stance against licensing Guns N' Roses' hits, but prefers to lend his music and image to projects he endorses. For example, his distinctive image is used extensively in the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

Slash also discussed the future of his band Velvet Revolver with EW, saying that the group is currently auditioning a new singer. He was mum on details, but admitted that among the possible candidates, "There’s one guy that’s definitely pretty well-known." Speculate away!

Katy Perry to Guest Star on 'How I Met Your Mother'

Pop star Katy Perry will guest star on an episode of CBS hit show How I Met Your Mother later this season as a potential love interest for Josh Radnor's Ted, CBS said Thursday.

The episode, titled Oh Honey, will see her play Zoey's (Jennifer Morrison) cousin, described as "a beautiful, naive girl who the gang resorts to calling 'honey'."

"Katy is a tremendous talent and we are delighted to be able to work with her," said Carter Bays, co-creator and executive producer of the show.
