Shakira & Miley Cyrus DUET

Shakira and teen idol Miley Cyrus recorded a duet that will be presented on 14 February as part of a charity gala, according to El Universal of Venezuela.

The single, which will be called Love & Rock, to raise funds for children with severe heart disease, and although not confirmed, it is expected that the Colombian and former Disneygirl recorded a video clip together.

According to the representative of Shakira said "this song is for charity and non-commercial."

This would be the second major collaboration with American singer Shakira. The first time was with Beyoncé in 2007 when both joined their vocal power and suggestive hip movements in the hit Beautiful Liar.

Music Video: Miley Cyrus - "Liberty Walk"

Bob Dylan tribute album Chimes of Freedom reveals insane tracklist

Last month we told you of an upcoming Bob Dylan tribute album being put together in celebration of Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary. At the time, My Morning Jacket, Adele, David Matthews Band, and Ke$ha were among the confirmed participants. Now, the set’s entire tracklist has been revealed, and Ke$ha’s cover of ”Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” is just the beginning of the insanity.

Spanning four discs and 72 tracks (!!!), Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International packages together new or previously unreleased Dylan covers from artist of all different genres and generations. Obvious highlights include covers of “You’re A Big Girl Now” by MMJ, “Outlaw Blues” by Queens of the Stone Age, ”Not Dark Yet” by Silversun Pickups, “Drifter’s Escape” by Patti Smith, and “Lay Down Your Weary Tune” by Billy Bragg.

Other notable contributors include The Who’s Pete Townshend (“Corrina, Corrina”), Sting (“Girl from the North Country”), Bryan Ferry (“Bob Dylan’s Dream”), The Gaslight Anthem (“Changing of the Guards”), Elvis Costello (“License to Kill”), Mark Knopfler (“Restless Farewell”), Sinéad O’Connor (“Property of Jesus”), Joan Baez (“Seven Curses (Live)”), Fistful Of Mercy (“Buckets Of Rain”), Bad Religion (“It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue”), Cage the Elephant (“The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carroll”), and Pete Seeger (“Forever Young”). Dylan himself contributes the album’s namesake.

And just because, Ms. “On Melancholy Hill” (aka Miley Cyrus) takes on “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go” and Maroon 5 tackles “ I Shall Be Released”. Also, Seal and Jeff Beck randomly team up for a reworking of “Like A Rolling Stone” and actress Evan Rachel Wood contributes her cover of “I’d Have You Anytime”.

The collection is scheduled for physical and digital release in North America on January 24th, 2012 via Fontana Distribution. It will then be distributed internationally through Fontana International on January 30th. All profits will go to benefit Amnesty International.

Weird Al endures hard times, musically speaking

Since 1983, "Weird Al" Yankovic has released 13 albums, with six of them going platinum and four reaching gold status. It's a pretty good batting average for any artist, and an especially great one for a comedian-musician.

Yankovic says he used to think all of his albums would sell well, until now.

Miley Cyrus announces first Australian tour

Cyrus will play Rod Laver Arena on June 23.

Special pre-sale tickets go on sale via Visa Entertainment at noon on Monday until 5pm next Thursday, with general tickets on sale on April 12 through Ticketek.

Promoter Paul Dainty has ensured all tickets to the concerts will be under $100 for Cyrus's young fanbase, built up thanks to her hit TV show Hannah Montana.

The 18-year-old wants to remind Australian fans she's a musician, not just a celebrity, with her new Gypsy Heart tour, created especially for countries she's never visited.

"I want to show people who I really am more than just what they see on TV," she said.

"It's going to be different to all my other tours. It's all about the music. There'll be acoustic things, songs I've never done on tour before.

"I want to make it special. I've never toured Australia before. It's going to be really personal. I want to take requests from the fans.

"My last tour was all about how many costume changes we could do. This tour is not about that."

Cyrus has weathered a storm in the past year, with her parents splitting (they have since reunited) and making headlines after being photographed smoking a legal herbal substance in a bong.

"I mess up. There you go," she said.

"But if you live your life trying to be perfect you don't really live your life ever, because you don't really make any mistakes and at the end of your life you won't be very smart or wise."

Cyrus also revealed she is still friends with her Australian ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, whom she met on a film set.

Cyrus visited Australia last year, staying at Hemsworth's home on Phillip Island, where she was introduced to some local cuisine.

"Liam's delicacy is those macaroni pie things. When I came home my mum was like, 'Oh it's like you've been to Nashville again'. It was almost like Southern food.

"Liam told me Phillip Island would remind me of home but by the sea and I'd die when I see it.

"There's nowhere as cool as my house or where I'm from in Nashville."

Justin Bieber to Release 'Remixes' Album on Valentine's Day

Justin Bieber has announced the release of "Never Say Never - The Remixes," a seven-track album featuring collaborations with Rascal Flatts, Chris Brown and Usher. The album will hit stores on Valentine's Day (Feb. 14), three days after the pop star's 3D biopic, "Never Say Never," opens in theaters on Feb. 11.

Along with the previously released Jaden Smith collaboration "Never Say Never," the album will include four remixes: "That Should Be Me" featuring Rascal Flatts, "Somebody to Love" featuring Usher, "Up" featuring Chris Brown, and Kanye West's "Runaway Love" remix featuring Raekwon, which leaked online in August. "The Remixes" will also feature a live version of "Overboard" with fellow teen star Miley Cyrus, as well as "Born to Be Somebody," a new track penned by Diane Warren.

Bieber confirmed that he was recording with Rascal Flatts last month, writing on Twitter that he was "honored" to work with the country trio. Meanwhile, Brown teased that he and Bieber would release a "SMASH record for all the fans out there at the top of the NEW YEAR!!!" in a Twitter post on Christmas Day.

"Never Say Never - The Remixes" is Bieber's latest release that reworks previous hits on "My World" and "My World 2.0," after "My Worlds Acoustic" was issued on Nov. 26. Although there is no timetable for the release of Bieber's next batch of new material, producer/songwriter Sean Garrett told Billboard.com this month that the pop star's next project will "segue him into young adulthood... we want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued and excited about him, but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well."

Here is the track list for Justin Bieber's "Never Say Never - The Remixes":

"Never Say Never" (featuring Jaden Smith)
"That Should Be Me" (remix featuring Rascal Flatts)
"Somebody to Love" (remix featuring Usher)
"Up" (remix featuring Chris Brown)
"Overboard" (live featuring Miley Cyrus)
"Runaway Love" (Kanye West remix, featuring Raekwon)
"Born to Be Somebody"

Miley Cyrus Two-Time Worst Influence Award Winner

Each year they ascribe the title of Worst Influence to a celebrity, and AOL’s JSYK website has named Miley Cyrus to the top of the list for a second year in a row.

The “Hannah Montana” babe beat Lindsay Lohan, Demi Lovato, Kanye West, and Chace Crawford to end up in the dubious #1 slot.

There’s no doubt Miley’s scandalous salvia smoking session and her almost-flashing photographs from a gay bar had something to do with the ranking.

Cyrus garnered 58% of JSYK’s 99,000 votes, most of which came from their target 9-to-15-year-old demographic.

Miley Cyrus Vs. Nicki Minaj: Who Has The Best Verse?

By now, we’ve all seen Miley Cyrus‘ famous video of her taking a hit out of that giant bong like a champ. I’ve had a lot of people ask me what it was she was mumbling when she starts trippin’ hard. She’s actually attempting to spit Nicki Minaj‘s verse on Trey Songz‘ hit, “Bottoms Up”.

Rihanna and Christina Aguilera talk about AMA performances

Rihanna is set to prove she's the only girl in the world when she takes the stage at the American Music Awards on Sunday. The Loud singer will be the show's opening act and says that despite some recent big awards-show performances, à la this month's MTV Europe Music Awards, this one will be even more epic.

"We're actually performing at the AMAs. We're actually opening up the show, which is a lot of pressure," she told MTV News about the performance. "But I love a challenge and I can't wait."

Rihanna hinted to us that she might be singing the Loud track "Cheers (Drink to That)," but didn't confirm the selection. She did, however, admit to being nervous about all of the airtime she's been given.

"They gave me nine minutes to do whatever I want and I can't wait," she shared. "That's a long time on an awards show, but it's going to be exciting. I can't wait. I can't wait to do it. I really can't."

The executives behind the AMAs are equally thrilled about Rih's upcoming performance. "We could not be more excited to officially announce one of pop music's biggest stars to open the celebration at the AMAs," AMA producer Larry Klein said in a statement. "Be sure to tune in so you don't miss this surely memorable moment."

In addition to being the show's opener, Rihanna is also nominated for Favorite Female Artist along with Alicia Keys and Sade. Other big performers include Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, the Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block and Christina Aguilera, who'll perform a number from her upcoming movie, "Burlesque."

The American Music Awards are known for their high-octane performances, and this year is no exception, with Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Kid Rock, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Pink, Usher, Ne-Yo, Diddy and more set to hit the stage.

Christina Aguilera will also be performing, doing a number from her upcoming movie "Burlesque." When MTV News caught up with the Grammy winner/ movie newbie recently, while doing press with her hunky "Burlesque" co-star Cam Gigandet, we asked her what fans can expect from her AMA performance.

"It's going to be fantastic," she said. "And it will give you a fitting little look inside the movie."

Aguilera said her saucy, burlesque-style dancing will set her performance apart from past appearances.

"It will be another very new challenge for me," Aguilera admitted. "My legs have been incredibly sore as I stepped into the role of Ali for this." In the film, Aguilera plays a small-town girl with big dreams — Ali — who stumbles on a burlesque club owned by the feisty Tess (Cher).

Aguilera added that, while re-learning the dance routines was grueling, the choreography is amazing. "You're going to get quite the show," she promised. "Quite the spectacle."

While Aguilera is new to the world of acting, Cher told MTV News that the pop star can dish it out with the best of them. "The scenes that she and I had together, I really enjoyed, and I really believe that she's got definite chops," she said. "We worked well together. I enjoyed all of it, and she was toe-to-toe with me the whole time."
