Cheryl Cole rumored to work with Calvin Harris & Lana Del Ray

Queen Cheryl “Chezza” Cole, she of The Almighty Aloud and X Factor GIFs aplenty, recently put the finishing touches on her third studio album, which is due out later in 2012.

Now, the pop beans have been spilled by Sunday Mirror columnist Dean Piper, who confirmed earlier today that “We Found Love” hit-maker Calvin Harris worked with Cheryl on “a dance classic” which will likely act as the lead single from the upcoming campaign. (There’s also talk of will.i.am on the song, which is just…)

No. Let’s not get sad. If Cheryl can survive malaria, we can survive will.i.am.

Focus on Cheryl and Calvin. Dream of the possibilities. At best, we’ll get something as bright and shimmering as RiRi‘s “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been,” Kylie Minogue‘s “In My Arms” or Sophie Ellis-Bextor/Róisín Murphy‘s “Off & On.” At worst, we’ll just get a reductive carbon copy of “We Found Love,” which would still be objectively amazing.

From what I’ve heard from my own sources, this is one of Cheryl’s biggest records yet, and it could even spell out an opportunity to dominate worldwide. 2012: Year of the Cole?

Cheryl Cole to work with David Guetta

Cheryl Cole is set to work with dance producer David Guetta according to tabloid reports today (August 18).

The Girls Aloud singer is currently preparing to record the follow up to her second solo album 'Messy Little Raindrops' and is being looked after by Black Eyed Peas man Will.i.am.

A source said of the potential collaboration:

Cheryl will be a top solo star in the US, if Will has anything to do with it.
The man is so well connected, and he sleeps, breathes and eats music. He
has a studio at home in which he is trying out new sounds for Cheryl.
He wants the best and is very picky. David is an old friend and has
produced some of the best dance anthems of the past few years, so it’s a
good place to start.

A source said: “Cheryl loved the song from the start and didn’t think twice about recording a version after she was sure it would not be appearing on Cher’s album."

“There is no love lost between the two so she couldn’t care less what anyone has to say about her being offered the song.

“It’s a great track, so much so that it is being considered as the lead single from Cheryl’s third album”.

New Nadine Coyle interview

The greatest part about the rapidly globalizing state of the music industry is that, thanks to the the Internet, music lovers worldwide have the ability to indulge in popular music from far-off territories while developing a strong kinship with fellow fans. The downfall, of course, is that no one else around you knows who the fuck you’re talking about.

Ladies and gentlemen, if you haven’t already: Meet Nadine Coyle.

Cheryl Cole Recording New Album In Los Angeles

Cheryl Cole has reportedly started recording her new album in Los Angeles.

Following her sacking from The X Factor USA and her rumoured reunion with ex-hubby Ashley Cole, we almost forgot that Chezza was a full-fledged popstar, and now according to The Sun, the 28-year old is back in the studio Stateside.

The Girls Aloud beauty has apparently been laying down vocals at LA's famous studios underneath the Sunset Marquis hotel, where the likes of Madonna, Sheryl Crow, Cyndi Lauper and Chaka Khan have previously recorded material.

A source told the tabloid: "Cheryl has loved working at the studios. Some of the female singers that have worked there before are her all-time heroes. It's been the perfect place for Cheryl to plunge head-first back into work again."

Nicola Roberts "shocked" people with how personal the lyrics on her solo album are.

Girls Aloud to re-form after Nadine Coyle offers to bury the hatchet with Cheryl Cole

Following several conference calls, the five original girlband members have agreed to return to the studio in January.

And surprisingly, it was Nadine Coyle – the one seen as turning her back on the others when she went solo and moved to LA to open a pub – who has held out the olive branch.

She started by offering to bury the hatchet with Cheryl Cole. And not in the 27-year-old Geordie’s head.

After all the X Factor hoo-ha, Nadine contacted Cheryl to offer her support and a shoulder to cry on.

The Derry-born singer also had a few troubles of her own to offload. Nadine, 25, is devastated after splitting up with fiance Jason Bell earlier this month. Meanwhile, her solo career has hardly set the world on fire. Her debut single, Insatiable, only sold 117 copies with Tesco.

She and Chez had a good old chat and also agreed to start afresh along with the rest of Girls Aloud – Sarah Harding, 29, Nicola Roberts, 25, and 29-year-old Kimberley Walsh.

My source tells me: “All is forgiven between Nadine and the rest of the band. It’s all water under the bridge.

“They’re excited they’re going to be making a fresh start together on this next adventure of their lives.

“In six months time it’ll be back to work as normal – they are itching to get back in the studio.”

However, the band will no longer be working with Xeomania, the British songwriting and production team behind most of the band’s hit albums and singles including Love Machine, Biology and No Good Advice. Instead, they plan to draw on personal experience when it comes to material for their next album.

My source adds: “At the moment the Girls are really excited about their new beginning, although they are scratching their heads over who will create signature hits for them.

“They are all grown women now. Cheryl has been through a lot worse than US X Factor. She’s survived a marriage breakdown and almost died of malaria. She’s made of tougher stuff.

“In fact, they have all got so much more experience between them now. They have all been through so much and come out fighting – and they will reflect this in their tracks.”

Hmm, Simon Cowell had better order himself an extra strong flak jacket...
