Girls Aloud to reunite without Cheryl Cole?
Girls Aloud are planning to reunite for a new album without Cheryl Cole, it has been claimed.
According to Heat, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh and Nadine Coyle have met up in the studio and are "really up" for a 2012 tour to mark their 10th anniversary.
An alleged source told the publication: "The girls are very keen to reunite and start working on another album. Their main love is the band and they all feel ready to get back and start recording. But Cheryl can't commit to that right now."
Cole has been linked to a judging role on The X Factor USA and is also continuing with her solo career after releasing 3 Words in 2009 and follow-up Messy Little Raindrops last year.
The source continued: "They're all very supportive of her, but they are concerned they could be left behind. They're also worried they might be hanging around forever if they wait for Cheryl.
"Obviously it's going to be very difficult without Cheryl, but they know they'll do well with another album and Cheryl could even join them for the tour next year if she's available. It makes sense and it doesn't mean that she'd leave the band - she'd just be taking a break."
Coyle released her own solo album Insatiable last year but the record peaked at number 47 in the charts and she split from her management in February.
Meanwhile, Roberts is reportedly poised to release her own debut solo album later this year after working with Metronomy frontman Joseph Mount. Harding has acted in several feature films.
Walsh has recorded a track with Aggro Santos and has also been tipped to replace Konnie Huq on The Xtra Factor.
Asked if the band could continue as a four-piece, X Factor judge Louis Walsh - who managed Girls Aloud at the start of their career - said: "Absolutely. Westlife became more successful without Brian McFadden, and the Spice Girls did it without Geri Halliwell."

Jessie J Didn't Want To Sound Like Britney Or Katy Perry
Jessie J collaborated with producer Dr. Luke on some songs for her debut album Who You Are, but was insistent she didn't want to sound like other artists he had worked with.
The producer has previously made hits for stars like Katy Perry and Britney Spears, but the Price Tag singer wanted her own sound.
"I remember first going in with Dr. Luke and it’s big pressure when you know you’re going in with someone that’s written huge hits for other female artists and you don’t want to sound like them," she explained to 3 News in New Zealand.
"I went in with him and (songwriter) Claude (Kelly) and said, ‘This is who I am. This is what I do.’ I remember being told like, you know Luke is kind of very intense, just take it slow. I kind of went in and was like, ‘What up! Like, hello!’
"I think he appreciated my kind of honesty," the Nobody's Perfect singer added. "I said, ‘I don’t want to sound like this, this, this and this', and we sat for hours and went through my iTunes and listened to like old Mary J. Blige and old Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston and Lauryn Hill and I said, ‘I kind of want to write tracks like that.’
"There’s a song on my album called Abracadabra which totally is very different to what kind of, I wouldn’t say what Luke does, but you know that big, pop Katy Perry, Britney, I forgotten her name... Ke$ha – that kind of sound."

Monkees deny doubts over tour
Peter Tork, Mickey Dolenz and Davy Jones announced in February they are teaming up to hit the road again for the first time in 10 years.
A report in The Sun on Tuesday suggests the previously warring musicians are already struggling to get along during rehearsals for their upcoming shows and are communicating through a third party.
But a spokesman for the Daydream Believer hitmakers has denied the tour is under threat, adding: "The band members' requests for the tour are far from unusual. They are all very much looking forward to seeing all their fans again."

Gaga Revs Up for Another Number 1 Debut
Lady Gaga's "Judas" was officially released last Friday and it's already poised to debut at the top of the singles charts this week, reports Billboard magazine.
The second single from Gaga's highly anticipated third album Born This Way leaked four days earlier than planned so Interscope Records, Gaga's label, rush-released the song to iTunes. Her previous single, the title cut from the new album, debuted at the top of the charts in 21 countries and became the fastest-selling single in the history of iTunes.
According to Billboard, "Judas" will need to sell more than 350,000 downloads "in less than two and-a-half days of sales in the week, in order to possibly debut at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Also playing a role in its initial Hot 100 ranking will be the radio audience impressions 'Judas' will garner through the end of the airplay tracking period which runs through Tuesday (April 19). A fast first week start at radio, similar to 'Born This Way' (78.6 million), would certainly help Gaga's No. 1 cause.

Chris Brown’s ‘F.A.M.E’ Certified Gold
Just three weeks after Chris Brown’s comeback effort ‘F.A.M.E’ topped the Billboard 200, it has been announced that the album has been certified Gold.
The album, which has spawned chart smashes ‘Deuces’ and ‘Yeah 3x’, has officially shipped 500,000 copies according to the singer’s label, Jive.
A great feat given Brown’s prior circumstance (as well as the industry’s current sales climate). Yet, a feat made all the more impressive by the LP almost doubling its initial 270,000 opening week figures in such short space of time.
As at writing, ‘F.A.M.E’ sits at #6 on the Bilboard 200, while its latest single ‘She Ain’t You’ ascends on Urban radio.
